Can you provide me the URL of an example feed and I'll look and see what they're giving us :)
This is the Url i'm trying to use
http://youtube.com/rss/global/top_favorites.rss
As you can see, it has some thumbnails on the right side. It would be nice if they showed up too !
ps: Is there no search option in this forum, or did I miss it !
I don't think there's a search, sorry!
Regarding thumbnails.. looks like you can make those appear in the same way the feed does it. Edit your digest, go to the template area, then click the link to manually edit your template. Find the bit that looks something LIKE: %DESCRIPTIONPLAIN,100% (or similar) and replace with just %DESCRIPTION% .. then look at your digest again.
Thanks man... that did the trick !
One more question (or should I start a new topic ?) !
I'm testing your service and probably want to upgrade to the payed version.
Do you have other means of paying than paypal, like a money transfer ?
To use paypal you have to get a cedit card and around here we don't use them that much.
Not really, although potentially checks could be accepted, but there would be a pretty large fee on top to cover the commissions our bank charges on foreign currency deposits (currently about $15 per check). I can, in theory, extend your trial for a reasonable length of time, however, if you want to just trundle along a bit.
Than I just have to arrange a paypal acount... or find someone with an acount.
An extended trail time would be great, seting up a paypal acount takes some time.
Thanks for the fast answers !
In certain countries you can do checks through PayPal (e-checks). Some of our users do this, but I'm not sure what's involved as they handle it all for us.
The thumbnails are working great.... but the feed doesn't seem too update itself.
How many times should it be updated ?
Is it a little used digest or on a page where hardly anyone's accessing it? Accesses trigger updates.. so if you're in a "test" situation where only are accessing the digest, then it won't seem to update much (but in actuality it'll be updated several minutes after you accessed it ;-)).
The digest is indeed on a small test page, I'm accessing it a couple times a day. It has not changed for 2 weeks now when I vissited it about 40-50 times I guess.
Is it possible to extend the trail time (like you said) with one month, so I can setup the paypal account ?
You got it! :)
