Hi,
I would like to add a code that would allows me to display the number of comments that a topic has received. I am familiar with the customising of templates, but I can't work this out--any tips?

Unless this information is in the usual description or title, I doubt you'll be able to do this, I'm afraid. I know some WordPress feeds support outputting comment numbers, but we do not process these elements at this time.
