   Just wanted to mention this. I recently changed from Blinklist (which has been having ongoing problems) to Magnolia (which so far is brilliant) to feed my bookmarks by RSS. Since changing I have had no problems whatever and the feeds show up in timely fashion without any need to force them, which I often had to do previously. ( I did spend several minutes trying to force one feed only to realise I had used the old Blinklist tag name rather than the new one. Doh ! )

   I wanted to mention this because it shows that feed problems can often be caused by the originating source even though their RSS feed looks fine and shows up promptly. So I'm sure some of us are guilty of blaming FeedDigest when it's not their fault :) For all those times I muttered under my breath...sorry! ;)

   Always good news to hear :) Yes, there is a lot of room for error with things like this (on both sides). RSS stuff isn't as easy as it could or should be, but that is likely to change in the next few years :)

   Would you recommend using the Atom feed? I've never been completely sure which to use.

   Generally I would recommend RSS over Atom, but it tends to be that if one fails or doesn't produce the expected result, the other can.

   One compelling reason is that RSS' various versions have been more rigid in recent years than Atom, which is still a growing format. Atom has only, in the last year, made it to version 1.0 and become relatively stable, yet many Atom feeds are still of the older 0.3 type. Atom is becoming more mature, but RSS already made it.
