I'd dearly like a public OPML address so I can fully integrate FeedDigest with my blog. I guess the new template system may allow me to do that (when it's ready). But how about a public OPML option in the mean time?

Public OPML (now available!)9 posts
Theoretically possible! No-one has asked for this before, so could you give me just an indication of what you'd use it for?
The reason I ask is because the OPML is produced by a different system to the digests at present, and while the digest system is great for millions of views.. the system that generates the OPML is not, so ideally it'd need to be lowish traffic. Therefore I want to get an indication of whether it's a "on every pageview" type thing, or just a reasonably rare request (or in between)?
It's a huge pain keeping separate lists of RSS feeds everywhere. I'm trying to reduce that, it's partly what I use Feeddigest for. Public OPML would save me keeping a separate blogroll. I had in mind to use Chip's OPML Wordpress plugin to display my blogroll. That way, all I need to do is keep FeedDigest updated and my blogroll will stay updated too.
I'm not sure of the mechanics of the plugin, but personally I do use the WordPress Cache plugin, so I wouldn't be hammering your servers. But the nice thing about OPML is that they hardly ever change, so you could just create a static file whenever I edit my feed which would again save resources.
Sorry for the delay in a response. I see what you mean now, and I have put this into my calendar to-do list :)
BTW, is the current private OPML of the right type for you? That is, would a publicly-accessible version of the same be good?
Yup, that's exactly what I'm after. Thanks.
By the way, I just noticed the RSS feed link for this topic is kind of invalid:
Which, if we're copying and pasting to enter a feed into FeedDigest is a pain.
It's semi-valid, but yeah, it's a PITA. I don't like these sorts of URLs at all, but many/some clients deal with them okay. For example, that link works fine in Firefox and displays the feed.
Haven't forgotten about this. Adding it to my calendar to report on progress.
It's now complete. See control panel.
