   It says they are pages, not feeds. I have tried dozens of times and it simply won't work.

   for example:
   http://news.search.yahoo.com/news/rss;_ylt=A9j8eu0kPqJHBwkBNAzQtDMD;_ylu=X3oDMTA3MTBsZGZsBHNlYwNhZG0-?ei=UTF-8&p=christine+gregoire&c=&eo=UTF-8

   Will return that error. Yet it is a valid feed.

   Please fix this problem.

   This isn't an official answer, but try putting .nyud.net:8090 after the hostname. For example.. URL as you've got it, but news.search.yahoo.com.nyud.net:8090 instead of just news.search.yahoo.com.
