My feed is not taking diaeresisses and accents marks. When a word has one in it, it wont display the character. So, for instance, 'blasé' becomes 'blas'. And that sucks :)
Can you help, mister administrator? Or anyone?

Where are you using the digest? These characters work in general (as does pretty much all UTF-8 content, including way out stuff like Arabic, Chinese and Cyrillic) but there may be something particular about the deployment or digest that is causing an issue with yours.
Aha! I'm using it to convert my blog. It's originally publishing to one of its own CMS homepages (I'm using CuteNews CMS), but I'm using FeedDigest to convert it and embed it (with javascript) into my page. The page I'm having trouble with is located at: http://www.robindewever.nl/blog.php, and it has the following RSS URL: http://app.feeddigest.com/digest3/E6QYXEUJZM.rss
One potential problem might be that your page is in iso-8859-1 encoding. Your digest is as well, I notice, which -should- be okay. But it might be worth trying to change to UTF-8 on the digest and the page just to see.. all you'd need to change is your meta tag and switch to UTF-8 in our control panel. There *might* be an issue where you're reading a character from a UTF-8 feed which isn't converting into ISO-8859-1 properly..

Do I have to update my blog? Can you maybe higher the refresh ratio?
If changing the encoding (remember to do it both at Feed Digest *and* on your page) doesn't help immediately, then that's not the solution. The encoding change at our end would take place immediately.
Hmm... no change. But: did the feed refresh the older items? There's a mistake in the 'Klompen'-post (which is an old one; to be seen at http://www.robindewever.nl/blog.php) and it didn't dissapear.
Old posts typically don't refresh unless their ID changes as we use their ID to determine if a post is new or not, and don't otherwise update because with thousands of feeds per second, it's "almost" impossible to check every post for changes.
I looked at the source feed for this digest and didn't see any accented characters in it either?
Aha, that's it! It's the Cutenews CMS software that messes it up!
I knéw FeedDigest was too superior to be responsible :)
