Hello,
we do not quite understand the question. Could you please give us more details on your problem?
Thank you in advance.

When I manually edit the template so that my posts show everything with the html (%description%), it still first shows the first 300 characters of my post as plain text (%descriptionplain,300%). I don't have the tag descriptionplain,300 anywhere in my template code. I am confused as to why it is formatting this way. It was working properly prior to your update.

To address this issue we've introduced a new tag %CONTENTENCODED%.
%CONTENTENCODED% outputs full content of the item. Please note that it works only if optional tag <content:encoded> is present in source feeds. This is different compared to %DESCRIPTION% tag, since <description> tag is required in RSS feeds by the standard.
Regarding its usage, we advise to use either %DESCRIPTION% or %CONTENTENCODED%, otherwise your widget would display some of the content twice.
Previously we concatenated the contents of <description> and <content:encoded> tags, which, in hindsight, wasn't a good idea.
We'll be grateful if you stay in touch and send us feedback on the provided solution.
