I'm way late, but why would a site want to use your feed?

Barbara, I think Concord means RSS feed for blogging.
Concord, why do you want to block feeds?Posted 13 years ago # -
Same question I had. I can't see the negative impact of someone using your RSS feed? Isn't that desirable?

I thought it was an advantage to your site for someone to use your RSS feed. Don't think it's a negative thing.

I supposed his RSS feed is being used to create content in someone else's blog and he doesn't want his content plagiarized, is that correct Concord? Cheers!

I think my main concern with one of my feeds being used without my permission would be that it not end up on an adult site, or somewhere that might get flagged as inappropriate content.

People can scrape the content of your site without abusing your feed.

You won't be affected with what others do with your feed, besides it's great for your links and your site, will build popularity for you on autopilot, it's a good thing, don't worry about it, only worry if something bad actually happens but I seriously doubt it will.

I have to agree with everyone else here, having someone else using your feed is a good thing! Don't fight it!

I don't think you can block a site from using your feed specifically - although you might be able to block it from your entire site using .htaccess.

I wouldn't worry about another site using your feed...not a problem...

For search engine it is not a problem. It is only important that you are the first to publish the contents.

The whole point of publishing a feed is to distribute your site content. Don't worry about it.
