I am using %CONTENTENCODED,300WORD% followed by ' a href="%URL%" '.. to get content from the feed and I realize that this may cause issues; however, in the first item of feed XSJZYP6PO3 the widget contains 'br href="%URL"' followed by an anchor tag with an empty href. Is there a proper way to trim CONTENTENCODED without having any broken html issues?

Sorry for the delay. Actually the tag you use to cut the preview is not correct - there is no such tag as %CONTENTENCODED,300WORD%. Please replace CONTENTENCODED with CONTENTENCODEDPLAIN in the code. You can additionally check the list of allowed tags here: http://feed.informer.com/blog/docs/template-tags/
