I'm curious. Has there been any kind of resolve on anyone elses end with this service. I've got no feeds running and what feeds are showing when I click on them I get the follow error "NoMethodError in Go#go" with a list of problems. I'm assuming this is not on my end as the feeds working fine last night.

An update or reply would be great please.

Hello,
Well, we have some troubles in here and we are working on those and believe it or not, we are interested in making FI an excellent service. However, there are some internal, technical problems we need to resolve first, and, while we are interested in help and feedback, cannot be resolved from the outside.
it's not like we do not want to listen to our users, we just need to make a lot of changes before we can start using our feedback to actually change the website.
Sorry for being emo, we just went through a lot of decisions and problems and we just have to explain that.

5 hours ago, admin wrote: FI is working normally now, but there may be some insignificant delays because of total cache updating.

Oops.

Now, we get: The database is completely restored but it may take some more time to fill it with news from your feeds.

Please, stop over-promising.

I can't stress this enough, we - and you - are in the information business. In these times, that means fast, accurate, reliable reporting.

Before the meltdown, this site was updating my feeds every 3 hours or so. That's just ludicrous. Many of us would be more than willing to help, but it's tough talking to a brick wall. This has the potential to be an excellent service. Whatever I can do to help I will. Please, ask.

The matter is that the yesterday's crash was unpredictable and took all of us by surprise, that's why it took longer time to handle it. That optimization is being made regularly and is quiet an ordinary process. But we will surely take into account the necessity of our maintenance works to be held mostly on weekends. And yes, we're working on creating total backup for FI.

Several of my feeds are still not working, but maybe I just have to wait.

If we were able to post on this board, why weren't you? Why couldn't you tell us what was going on?

Most of us here are in the information business, so down-time avoidance is crucial. Our readers rely on us, and we rely on your service. You just have to become much more transparent.

Also, it seems almost every time you take the system down for maintenace or, in this case, "database optimization," there are huge problems. Why can't you do this on weekends when it would be least disruptive?

And why don't you have a backup system in place so that if something crashes, the feeds still get updated?

Can we get some answers, please? Real answers about what exactly happened and why it won't happen again.

Hi,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
We were well aware of the updating frequencies problem and the first thing we had to do was database optimization, that normally would take one hour. That's why you were getting that message.
We were doing everything possible to restart FI asap and unfortunately there was no technical opportunity to inform you earlier.
Thanks for understanding.
