Updates are generally triggered by requests, so if you're the only one testing this system out, then updates will appear to be slow (occurring generally within a few minutes of your load). Once you have regular visitors, etc, then this problem disappears :)

Google Reader does display author information on a per-post basis, but unfortunately we do not have a tag for that at this time (rather, we don't actually store that information at all, which is the biggest impediment).

I updated SOA HOT JOBs (www.soahotjobs.com) at 7:00am this morning and the RSS Feed is displayed at http://www.soanetwork.net - The Career Network. As of 5:30pm today the feed still hasn't been picked up. (Of course after I just mentioned it - the updates have come through).

Google picks up my blogs and displays author information search on "The SOA Network" under Google Blog Search and you can see it picks up my author info.

Regards,

Are you experiencing slowness? If so, I can look into it. Generally things are running fast, but if you have specific digests you want me to look at, let me know.

Unfortunately there is no technique, at present, to add author metadata, although you can add 'source' metadata into your output. This is not always the same thing, of course and is feed based rather than per-item based.

I love the Feed Digest. Needs to be faster and more templates.
Is there a way to add author to the feeds.
