Sorry to differ wiseland, pages still load slowly and sometimes the feedinformer content wont load. this hurts SEO. Im surprised that Google has indexed one of my pages with feedinformer content as Yahoo! refuses any of the pages i use feedinformer on, not good.

and i agree with conco7, diegogimenez' suggestion won't make a difference as ive been using that meta tag since i started the website (before feedinformer).

Im seriously considering ditching the pages i use FI on as i dont want Search Engines thinking that im using cloaking techniques due to disapearing and re-apearing content. This can actually get your site banned from search engines.

Never mind about my rave about Feedity. It creates a GREAT feed, but it inserts ads in, every 3 feeds, from "Pheedo". Looks super cheesy.

davydog: I checked out Feedity and it is AWESOME but it's not an RSS compiler like feed.informer. It does allow you, however, to change just about any webpage into an RSS feed, with some advanced options included even with your free account! However, I still have yet to find an RSS compiler that rivals feed.informer. I'm feelin' your pain when it comes to sloooooooooooow feeds, though...

diegogimenez, you said you changed <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> on the header of your page, to match the setting in feed.informer settings (they where different) and the site start loading really fast like a regular page. How are the settings inside feed.informer different? Please advise, slow feeds are annoying me...

Thanks for that tip, diegogimene. To answer your question, taylorallis (Is there another service that we can move to?), I just came across a tutorial that looks useful at http://www.slideshare.net/travelinlibrarian/integrating-rss-into-your-web-site-short-presentation. Feedity - http://feedity.com/ - was one of the services highlighted on the above presentation. Haven't had the chance to check it out yet.

Oh, I wouldn't say that they're not listening...I had created a thread about a great alternative to feed.informer that I found and the thread was removed. I can only imagine how that got removed...

For what it's worth, I have no moved completely off of feed.informer and obviously have no need for this service anymore. I was a proud FeedDigest user but since the sellout this has been a dismal service at best.

I love how threads get removed that aren't liked by the owners but they refuse to give ANY customer service at all for their product (or the one they bought from Peter).

It seems rather obvious from the tone of this thread and the lack of any response that someone is asleep at the wheel. I too am having the same issues. When your customers are having an open discussion on your site about your lack of customer service and their desire stop using your service and you don't respond, that usually is a bad sign.

I agree, the loading speed has gotten a LOT worse over the last few days. I've been searching for an alternative to this service for over a year to no avail. As soon as I find something comparable then I'm out of here and not looking back. Feed Informer is a great product but has the absolute worst customer service that I've ever seen.

Thanks for ruining what was a great product.

I started using the PHP feed service when free accounts were limited to six feeds and my pages displayed like lightening. The slow pages seem to have started soon after the time of the free service being upgraded to 100 feeds. My guess is that there is not enough capacity to support the current service, because of the extra demand. Of course this makes the service useless.

Webmasters using PHP feeds should realise that where pages only partially display, this may have an impact on search engine ranking. Next time a page fails to load completely, just have a look at the source code – it doesn’t display and that is exactly what a search engine robot will see. Consistent failed attempts by search engine robots to access a page will 1) lead to fewer pages with new information being indexed, i.e., fresh website content is not shown to visitors and 2) may lead to a lower ranking or even removal of the page from the search engine index.

I have also noticed a lack of response from Feed Informer management, to users posting about this, and consider a fast response and resolution to this issue to be crucial.

I there a plan to resolve this?

Has anyone used a different service with faster load times?
