Dear sol,

unfortunately we can't repeat the problem on our side with our examples. Is it possible to know what key words you add to the digest's filters? It would also be good to know the URL of the website that cancel the results from other feeds.

I think we should have a more detailed conversation by email. Will it be of convenience to you?

Yes, that's what I thought. There's a glitch though of some sort with the "Or" filter. The "And" filter is working great and doing it's job well.

However, as I type more words into the "Or" filter it doesn't look for results in ADDITION to the other "Or" filter words. It somehow just focuses on a few of the "Or" words and confusingly blocks the rest.

With only the "and" filter word I have dozens of results. When I add a few "Or" words I have probably 15 results and when I add another couple of "Or" keywords my 15 results dwindle down to 3 or 4. The "Or" filter should ADD more results at this point since I had dozens of results to begin with correct?

Also I notice when one particular website is added to my sources I don't get the results from the other feeds.

Last thing. Is there a limit on negative keywords? I am using negative keywords in the "And" filter and it was working at first but the additional words are being entirely ignored.

Do you have a way to block keywords in the sources area by adding digest sources with negative terms somehow? It would be great to block phrases instead of just words so a celebrity's name could be blocked from results. Or a way to subtract a whole website entirely from results within the digest sources area?

Thank you!

Dear sol,

the situation you describe is natural. OR does not search for additions to the results of AND filtering. OR is applied to the items, that are left after AND was applied.

I've been working on these filters again. When I use one word in the "AND" filter" I get plenty of results (not all results are relevant of course). So then I add just one or two words to the "OR" filter and it narrows it down for me, but I really need more results so I add more keywords to the "OR" thinking it will ALSO search for those keywords in ADDITION to the present results.

As I continue to add words to the "OR" filter it removes more of my results instead of adding more results. Shouldn't it keep the present results and add more results as I add more keywords to the "OR" filter for it to pull in to the feed??

Can someone please tell me what is happening?

Thank you!

Hello sol,

sorry for the delay with reply. The keywords in filter fields should be separated by spaces.

If the problem still exists, please provide us with the list of words you include.

I've been trying to work with the filters. The "AND" filter I've typed one word in. Then the "OR" filter I've typed multiple words in, some single and some are multiple word phrases which I've placed quotes around the filter.

AND Filter Example: Cat -dog
OR Filter Example: Cat "cat lovers" feline "cat enthusiasts" Siamese Calico Himalayan "cat stories"

If I only use the "AND" filter I get a swelling of results. Then I type in one word to the "OR" filter and it narrows it. Good.

Next I type in all the desired words to the "OR" filter and I have absolutely NO results for my feed. Bad.

Shouldn't the feed be showing all articles which include the word cat minus the word dog and have at least one of the "OR" filter words? It's acting as if it's the "AND" filter when I'm typing words into the "OR" filter by receiving NO feeds. Should I be separating words or phrases by commas or doing something differently?

Please could someone help?

Thank you!
