We are now on the new system. You should notice improvements even with invalid feeds now.

Ah, I don't know if you can do it with remote published Blogger feeds.

However.. did you try using your FeedBurner feed instead? Other users have reported that this is another good workaround, as FeedBurner 'cleans up' the feed.

My feed URL runs through FeedBurner at: http://feeds.usernomics.com/NewsErgonomicsUserInterfaceDesignComputerHumanInteractionhci .

The URL used in FeedDigest points to the XML on my site at http://www.usernomics.com/news/user-interface-design-news.xml .

Does that work?

It depends what your feed URL is. You'd add the new feed to your digest and delete the old one.

What is your feed URL? It may or may not be compatible with this idea.

The parser switch should occur at some point in the next 48 hours all being well.

I gather that if I just wait, the problem will go away in a few days? I am willing to wait if it is a short time.

If not, where do you add the /default?alt=rss? In FeedDigest, FeedBurner, or Blogger.com? And do you just leave it there or do it each time you update?

The text to add to the Blogger URL is: &alt=rss I was using the standard blogspot feed URL and an update of my Feeddigest feed was ~4 days late. So I added an additional input feed with the extended Blogspot URL and it worked immediately. Here's my before and after URLs, and here's the published location. Eric

AFTER: http://canberrajazz.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss
APPEARS IN THE CENTRAL COLUMN AT: http://canberrajazz.net/

There is one temporary fix that works in SOME situations. That is to force output of an RSS feed rather than an Atom one. I believe the RSS feeds are okay, but the Atom feeds are broken. There is something you can add to the end of some Blogger URLs to change this, but I don't know off of the top of my head what it is.

Blogger / Google are aware of this bug, and it's a problem at their end:

It will cease to be an issue in a few days' time even if they don't fix it, as we're switching our parser to a newer one backported from Feed Digest 2007 that doesn't stall on broken feeds.

Hello Again,

I think I found what may be the problem but I am not sure. Neither feed validates and the problem seems to be the URL of the location for my posts. The validation error is below. This may be because my Blogs originate with Blogger.com even though they are hosted on my site. I just updated to the new Blogger 2 which may have caused the URL problem. The XML for the problem site is http://www.usernomics.com/news/user-interface-design-news.xml which is on my site.

Does this help to pinpoint the problem? If so, I am not sure how to fix it because the URL's are automatically inserted by Blogger.com. Also, it does not explain why one updates and the other does not.

Hello,

I have two almost identical feeds running through FeedBurner with FeedDigest PHP scripts pointing to both of them. They have both worked fine for two years. However, one of them is no longer updating. The problem script is with http://app.feeddigest.com/digest3/KXHCTSBJLH.html . The destination page that is not updating can be seen at http://www.usernomics.com/index.html (in the left side scroll box).

The similar one that is working fine is at http://app.feeddigest.com/digest3/HZ5FYFYS9U.html .

Can you see what might be wrong with the problem script?
