@KateHill:

Its an easy way to get some auto content on your blog and you can also use a script to change any word in the rss feed to a different word automatically ,or have a word automatically with a link ,to say a sales page of offer of some sort - so use the rss feed to your advantage

@KateHill:

You can customize your RSS feed to only show part of your content.
That way, they can subscribe to your feed and know when you update (instead of checking your page every day), but they will have to click through and visit the actual site to see all of the new content.

Vitto, the idea of the widget is exposing your users to other material they may be interested in. It's truly a great way to put potentially relevant, timely information in front of them. It's a great way to lower bounce rates, and when used on external websites, a great form of advertisement.

Goldenroot is also correct, Ping.FM is very useful as well, especially for updating business Twitter of Facebook accounts. Such tasks, by hand, could take several minutes per post. If you have a fanbase on Twitter or Facebook, Ping.FM is definitely the way to go.

Hi all,
I just created an account while looking for something similar to Feedburner's headline animator.
It looks nice, but when would you use this widget?
Do you use it only with your own sites' feeds, so to promote your own sites by placing the same widget on all of them?
Or do you also enable feeds for third party websites? If so, doesn't this mean that the widget may take users away from your own site?

I do like the widget but am not sure on when it's a good idea to use it.

Thanks in advance
Vito
