It's quite common for relatively small or niche sites, that use in-house software solutions or rely on poorly supported third-party content management systems.
Big names or news sites usually syndicate multiple perfectly valid feeds for each topic, category, etc.

One last question. Is it common for website owners to incorrectly format their RSS feeds?

It may depend on the policies of the respective site owners, you can contact them if you have doubts, but usually it's not a problem, since web feeds, republished or not, drive visitors to the sites that syndicate them, so it's beneficial for site owners in the first place.

You suggested a workaround of using Feedburner (http://feedburner.google.com) to republish the feeds. The feeds belong to websites that I don't own. Can I republish the feeds if I don't own the websites or am I going to end getting into trouble with owners of these websites? Please confirm.

Hi brayd,
it looks like these feeds are, indeed, invalid, for different reasons. You can check them yourself using one of these feed validation services:
- http://feedvalidator.org
- http://validator.w3.org/feed/
They also provide you with detailed error messages.
We check all feeds for validity to make sure they will be parsed later without errors.
If you really need these feeds for your digest, I would suggest you a workaround: republish them via Google Feedburner (http://feedburner.google.com), then submit the republished feeds to Feed Informer.

I keep getting the following error message when trying to add several feeds to Digest ID: TP5ARXGANM

The error message reads as follows:

Error adding feed.
The feed is invalid, i.e. it does not conform to RSS/Atom specifications.

Below is a link to the feeds I'm trying to add:

What is the problem? Why won't your system accept the above feeds?
