1) Can I change the width? How do I do that
2) Is the text in that format readable by Google and other search engines?

On the second question, I would think probably not, as search engines can not index text contained within graphics (sometimes it can with Flash, but it's still less than optimal).
so can you change the width of a picture because text wrap for long titles does not seem to be working
