I solved it by adding this META tag in the <head> of the page on which my digest is embedded:

<meta content='text/html; charset=UTF-8' http-equiv='Content-Type' />

Since it's there it's always showing every symbol such as ", é, ç.

Perhaps adding that line under "Header Template" in "Digest Design" > "Edit template HTML manually" fixes it too. Not tried, as I don't wanna mess all up now it all works fine. (:
