i'm sorry -- my [dumb] mistake. i had set a z-index setting of -2 and it is now behind another element.

i have nothing to show you since i just have a blank page, but all day my pretty new feed has been just great on my webpage. however, just now, it has disappeared. i am using PHP (CURL with timeout) code to insert it into a Drupal page (am using PHP filter for the page).
all day it's been just perfect, now it's gone even though the source code remains. the page is just blank.
i've tried refreshing, i've tried clearing the cache. i've removed the code and tried to add it again. nothing.
in feed.informer, i can preview my feed and all looks fine.
please help!

Eugh, the code doesn't come out right. Basically you're adding target="_top" into the A tags.

You could try not using the IFRAME and add this code around your digest include on your page:

.. put the usual Feed Digest include here ..

</div>

Alternatively, edit the digest's HTML template and find the bit that's somewhat like this:

%TITLE%

And change that to..

%TITLE%

That forces the "target" location of the links to being the whole window.

I have embedded the Feed Digest code inside a frames setup:

When you click the Blog header links the Blog appears in the same window, obviously I need it to replace/appear in the main window ?

I need some advice please. I have tried not using the iframe but I can't size the feed and it resizes everything on the page ?

Feed Digest is/was done by hand, manually for the code. Photoshop and Illustrator were used for the design stage, however, which are in the Adobe Creative Suite. I would advise steering clear of Microsoft's tools because they can often lock you onto Microsoft technologies for hosting, etc, whereas other solutions usually let you host anywhere. I cannot really offer any great advice beyond this, though, as I don't use software for actually putting pages together.. just raw HTML and CSS. I think Adobe Creative Suite will be more up your alley though, and it comes with Dreamweaver, which appears to be a good Web site management tool.

Hello:

I will be creating a news site with lots of news RSS feeds.

I have several sofware programs to choose from:

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premiun
MS Expreession Web

Or I can use a new software, I don't want to change in mid stream.

I will be using Google Ads somewhere in the design.

What software do you reccomend for someone with an artistic eye, great software learning skills and no programming experience to use with Feed Digest?

I would also like feeds with a least a parapgraph if possible.

What software did you use for the new Feed Digest Design?

Thanks looks like I got there, very impressed my problem was I two boxes one with javascript before the php one so I removed the javascript one and replaced it with phpcurl and am in business now for the next challenge...

Those are JavaScript errors rather than errors with the inclusion process. It sounds like you might have edited the template, possibly? Reselect it from new and save and see what happens then. (This error also occurs if you use JavaScript include instead of PHP)

The javascript code works fine but I want my digest to be readable by search engines.

when I Use the PHP curl I get an error message marqueespeed is undefined followed by pausespeed is undefined line 146

Actually, you *need* to use the PHP include for that template. I even considered removing it at one point due to this. But.. yes, Google will still read it. The JavaScript is just for the scrolling motion, the content is still on the page.

The reason the code you used didn't work might be because your provider has blocked remote includes. If so, use the other code on the page.. the "CURL" PHP code. That is more likely to work.

I have carried on with trial an error and now have scrolling working in jarvascript and have also got php working hower the scrolling box does not revolve in php.

I note the scrolling seems to be controlled by javascript does this mean that any feeds shown in a scrolling box will not be read by search engines even if I use the php feed.
Please advise

I am on a steep learning curve having started a blog and now wanting to feed to my website http://theworldshop.biz I have managed to get get the basis script working but would really like to get php working I have enable insert but when i put <?php

in the webpage it does not work..... am I missing something?

I also tried to use the scrolling template but the items never scrolled any help would be appeciated
