The access to advanced settings is available in "Digest Design" tab. In case with HTML template click "Edit template HTML manually". If you use Flash format, then "Advanced customization options" is the name of the link.

Hi,

I've tried changing the default templates but every time I hit the button to preview, i still see the basic template.

When I publish, it also still publishes with the same old template as before. Running out of ideas.

I have a problem when using flash to display feeds in Internet Explorer. When the page initially loads the feed shows fine, however, if you refresh the page or navigate away from it and return the feed shows up as a blue box.
It works fine in Firefox.

Any ideas?

The problem of more than 1 Flash digest per page is solved. Please re-generate and replace the code for digests on the web page to get them work properly.

When I try to post more than one Flash Digest on a webpage, I get this error:

Ok. but how do I get it to look like the template example at least. When I paste it into my site it posts the entire articles ( i would rather see a limited amount of characters with a "read more..." link to the blog it came from) some of my articles are long and if I try to included say the 5 most recent posts it would seem to be too much scrolling within the widget.

Unfortunately, right now it is not possible, maybe in future we'll get some flash editing feature.

is is possible to edit a flash template for its width and length. It seems I can adjust the width of the actual box, but then the content inside i.e. the feed is not fully visible and cut off on both the left and right.

Great service. It would be cool if there were templates that could simulate a newsletter format, you know, several columns, shorter and longer articles, rather than just one list (at least, I couldn't find a template like that). It would be really useful for sending out say a weekly bulletin to subscribers who probably don't read the RSS feed. In fact, if you could manage a mailing list within Informer too...! But now I'm getting carried away - I develop a few little bits of software and I know what it's like when people come along with these "amazing ideas" that would take months of development...!

You could use something like:

And then use CSS to hide all .newsentry items, but then to /show/ #newsentry1

Is there a way to publish the headline plus the first few lines of an entry on the most recent post, followed by just the headlines for x number of previous posts? As in:

When using the "Smart Headline With Source" template, the css generated is very generic and overrides a lot of the css files I've created on my page. For example, it sets the link color to #04E (a { color: #04E; }).

This template should have much more specific CSS classes applied to it so that the CSS styles don't bleed out and mess up the rest of my page styling. For example, the link CSS could be "div.feed_informer a { color: #04E; }"

This is quite important for templates because beginning users won't even know why the link color on their website suddenly has changed.
