your digest works fine on our side. Please note that if you make changes to the source feeds, it usually takes time for the digest to be updated.

My ID - YSLOCEROIC . I created flash feed. It displayed feeds properly but not now. what is the reason. I expected it to display updated feeds, and it is showing nothing.

Hi all,

I have a Flash digest that is doing something strange. Generally, this digest displays just fine. But not always. I've seen repeated instances where the digest does not display. If I right-click over the blank part of the web page where the digest should be, I see Flash controls. But nothing of the digest is visible.

When this happens, I've been unable to coax the digest into displaying. Reloading the page does not help. Restarting the browser does not help. (I've tried this on both IE and Chrome.) If I return to the page hours later, or the next day, the feed appears again.

Has anyone seen this type of behavior before? Any idea what causes it, or how to resolve it?

And sorry, but for the moment this feed is on only a private site, so I can't send you an address where you can view it.

Hi swclibrary.
there are no traces of the problem now, anyway, no tricks like you described are required. It was either a faulty source feed item, it happens quite often, or a temporary problem of our service.

My Digest ID is XPONXLQVJK . This morning only one of my RSS feed is displaying in my digest. Both RSS feeds are working and current and have been displaying for months. http://swcwhatsnew.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default and http://swcnewbooks.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default . Should I delete the one not displaying and add it back in or is there another solution to get both displaying in the digest again.

Many thanks for the quick reply. I have checked the url with my digest ID WCOBQYIO4D and this appears to work. My test page is also working, and showing the feed in the narrow format I require. I will have a play with alignment commands, but this is looking better. Thanks for your help.

Could you please check if this url - http://app.feed.informer.com/digest3/digest ID].html - can be accessed from your server? Additionally, can you specify your digest id?

Thanks for advice and code. I have tried the code as suggested (I presume actual digest ID replaces: [digestID]). Unfortunately this gives a number of error messages on the displayed webpage and no feed. Messages include: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration; failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found; Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening. I have tried putting code within body of html, shtml, and php files. Is this a problem at server level? Further advice and assistance would be appreciated.

You can use <div> tag additionally to change digest's size.

I am quite new to Feed Informer, but it already looks a greater tool. I am aiming to reproduce the four most recent items from my RSS feed onto the website home page in a narrow box format. A further aim is for this to be SEO friendly and hence be visible to search engines. Hence I am trying to use PHP CURL rather than Javascript, Flash or similar.
My problem is that I can get this to work, both on a web test page and viewing via the HTML preview function; but only as a full web page width. I am trying to get this into a narrow box format as per the Template Preview, but to no avail. I canât see anything obvious in editing the HTML to tweak this. Would appreciate any advice and assistance to resolve this.

Hi, i am posting a feed.informer feed to my site here http://theothermusic.ning.com/page/rss-feed but the individual posts come in too large. Is there any way to change the size of each post so that it takes up a much smaller space (whilst keeping the images), or is this something that has to be handled on my ning page directly

HTML template can be edited manually. For instance, you can display the first item with %DESCRIPTIONPLAIN,240% tag, and every other - with %TITLE% tag. You can also consult http://feed.informer.com/blog/template-tags/

Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to show a digest where the first item shows a larger headline with a blurb, and then the subsequent items show only a headline.

And if not, I was thinking of having two digests of the same feed, the first with a larger headline with blurb, and the second with headlines only, however, then I would need the second digest to not display the first item, so it wouldn't repeat.

Are either of these options available, and if so, how do I do it?

Do you mean it's not appearing at all?

There was a DOS attack of sorts a while ago where a few blocks of IPs were blocked. This might be the case here. They were mostly in Israel though. If you want, give the first two sections of your IP and I'll get someone to check (and remove the block, if necessary).
