Shock Video: Looters Storm Convenience Store After ‘Street Takeover’ in California

Authorities are looking for suspects who looted a convenience store after a ‘street takeover’ in California earlier this month.

The incident unfolded in Rio Linda on October 8, but the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office just release surveillance footage in hopes of obtaining more information about the suspects.

Dozens of people stormed a 7-Eleven shop in the wake of a ‘sideshow’ or ‘street takeover,’ an illegal event whereby street racers and accompanying crowds hijack a public road or intersection to perform dangerous stunts and antics.

Suspects can be seen smashing windows, ripping down displays, swarming the register area, and running off with stolen merchandise.

Incredibly, those involved likely “will receive citations rather than jail time if they’re caught,” as looting is classified as a “non-violent” crime, Sgt. Amar Gandhi told ABC 10.

“These guys are eventually going to get caught. But the shame of it all is that there really won’t be any punishment,” Sgt. Gandhi said.

“Until people want to do something about these laws, really nothing is going to change. We want to keep calling these nonviolent felonies. I want you to ask the clerks inside how nonviolent it felt when you have got 40 to 50 people in there, straight looting.”

The Sacramento metro area now ranks seventh in the country for worst ‘organized retail crime,’ according to the National Retail Federation.

Spain’s Canary Islands Under “Siege” as 5,000 Migrants Arrive in Week Amid Historic Surge

In the past week, nearly 5,000 migrants have reportedly arrived in the Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago off the coast of Africa.

The Canaries are experiencing a historic illegal migration wave, with the island chain on track for more than 50,000 illegal entries this year.

More than 13,000 migrants have reached the Canary Islands in October already, the highest monthly total ever recorded and a 570% increase over October of 2022, Rubén Pulido reports for La Gaceta de la Iberosfera, which describes the influx as a “siege.”

So far in 2023, a total of 28,376 illegal entries were recorded by the beginning of this week — 90% more than the same period last year.

“If the current trend continues, migratory pressure in the archipelago could break its historical record before the month of November, the one recorded in 2006, when a total of 31,678 illegal immigrants arrived in the Canary Islands,” Pulido reports.

Most migrants who set out for the Canaries do so with the ultimate goal of reaching the European mainland — a leg of the journey often facilitated by the Spanish government and participating corporations.

On Tuesday, two Boeing 787 Dreamliners belonging to Air Europa were strategically parked at Aeropuerto de Los Rodeos on the Canary Island of Tenerife and hundreds of migrants were brought aboard and flown to Barcelona and Madrid, according to Pulido.

The food conglomerate last week said it agreed to a strategic investment with Protix to “support the growth of the emerging insect ingredient industry” and bring insect-based proteins to market in the U.S.

“Our partnership with Protix represents the latest strategic investment by Tyson Foods in groundbreaking solutions that drive added value to Tyson Foods’ business,” said John R. Tyson, chief financial officer of Tyson Foods.

“The insect lifecycle provides the opportunity for full circularity within our value chain, strengthening our commitment to building a more sustainable food system for the future.”

Protix CEO Kees Aarts likewise released a statement praising its partnership with the global food giant.

“We are very excited to announce the next step in our international growth strategy. Tyson Foods’ and Protix’s strategic partnership advances our joint work towards creating high-quality, more sustainable protein using innovative technology and solutions.”

“Moreover, we can immediately use their existing byproducts as feedstock for our insects. This agreement is a major milestone for Protix and significantly accelerates our ambition to grow through international partnerships,” he added.

Tyson said it will begin building a facility in the U.S. focused on insect protein and larvae production for livestock and plant feed.

“The to-be-built facility in the U.S. will house an enclosed system to support all aspects of insect protein production including the breeding, incubating, and hatching of insect larvae. In addition to ingredients for the aquaculture and pet food industries, processed larvae may also be used as ingredients within livestock and plant feed,” the company said in a statement.

Protix, founded in 2019, is one of the largest insect-based ingredient manufacturers in the world.

The partnership marks the latest development in the establishment’s quest to introduce bugs into mainstay diets as a way to combat “climate change.”

Those guilty of violating international law during this conflict should be punished, the minister said, adding that humanitarian corridors need to be opened to rescue residents of the Gaza Strip who suffered from Israeli bombing.

WATCH: Texas Police Use PIT Maneuver to Stop Human Smuggler During High-Speed Pursuit

Authorities neutralized a suspected human smuggler’s vehicle using a PIT maneuver after it nearly struck a school bus during a high-speed chase and bailout in Texas over the weekend.

The harrowing episode unfolded on Friday in Kinney County just miles from the southern border.

A Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) trooper pulled over a suspicious pickup truck on US-90, but as officers from multiple agencies surrounded the vehicle, the driver took off.

Aerial footage released by TxDPS shows two illegal aliens bailing out of the truck as it speeds away.

“The driver, Oscar Osorio, from Greenville, evaded reaching speeds of 90 mph. At one point during the pursuit, Osorio pulled over and allowed three more occupants to bail out,” TxDPS explained in a statement.

After Osorio raced past a school bus using the highway shoulder, a TxDPS trooper used his SUV to execute a ‘precision immobilization technique,’ otherwise known as a PIT maneuver.

Osorio told authorities he was promised $1,000 per illegal alien he smuggled.

Two illegal aliens found inside the vehicle were taken into custody, but it is unclear what became of the rest.

TxDPS released video from a similar pursuit in Kinney County that occurred days earlier.

A female driver from Austin topped 100 miles per hour while fleeing from troopers on US-90.

After she crashed into a ditch, seven illegal aliens were found in her vehicle, including two in the truck bed.

Two teenagers in Las Vegas, Nevada, who are facing murder charges for a brutal hit-and-run killing of a retired police officer, were seen laughing in court, making obscene hand gestures, and taunting the victim’s family.

On Tuesday, Jesus Ayala and his accomplice, Jzamir Keys, appeared in court to schedule their trial for the murder of 64-year-old Andreas Probst, a retired police chief mowed down during a morning bike ride in August by the reckless teens who recorded the incident and shared it on social media.

The Daily Mail reports: “Two teenagers accused of killing a retired police chief were seen smirking, laughing and making obscene hand gestures in court as their trial date was set.”

“The defendants could be seen smiling and laughing as Probst’s family gathered in a Las Vegas court room for a hearing on Tuesday morning.”

“These guys did not respect the court whatsoever,” Probst’s daughter, Taylor later told the media. “They were just dicking around the entire time.”

“They (the defendants) were flipping us off,” Taylor continued. “How can you sit there after taking a man’s life and act like such an entitled prick?”

The pair allegedly went on a crime spree on the morning of August 14, burglarizing a woman’s home and stealing at least four vehicles, and also striking another 72-year-old cyclist around 5:30 that morning who suffered non-life threatening injuries, in addition to ramming into another vehicle before hitting Probst.

In officer body cam footage following Ayala’s arrest, the teen can be heard saying he won’t be in juvenile detention long, however prosecutors have opted to try the pair as adults.

“It’s just a [expletive] hit and run, slap on the wrist,” Ayala said in the video.

“You think this juvenile [expletive] is gonna do some [expletive]? I’ll be out in 30 days, I’ll bet you,” Ayala told the officer from the back of a patrol vehicle.

Ayala and Keys, who were 17 and 16 at the time of the incident, both pleaded not guilty earlier this month to various felony charges, including murder, assault, and grand theft of a vehicle.

An illegal alien from Africa who was known to authorities has been imprisoned after raping at least three victims in France, including a pregnant woman and a young teenage girl, according to reports.

On Monday, a homeless man from Algeria was arrested under suspicion of multiple rapes in Chambéry, a city in the department of Savoie.

The first attack took place on October 21, 2021, when the man approached a 14-year-old girl at a bus stop before raping her in a public park.

On February 24, 2022, the man raped a woman who was six months pregnant near another park in Chambéry.

Last month, the man forced a woman into her vehicle and sexually assaulted her.

“After DNA samples, the National Automated Geneticprint File ended up detecting a similarity between these three rapes,” Le Journal du Demanche reports.

“The DNA sample then allowed the investigators to trace an individual named Abdellah O., known to the services for irregular maintenance on French territory and carrying a category D weapon without legitimate reason. He was therefore arrested on Monday and then imprisoned this week.”

Newly released footage that surfaced Thursday proves Democrat House Rep. and “Squad” member Jamaal Bowman lied when he blamed confusion for pulling a fire alarm last month as Congress was in session.

Surveillance video shows Bowman approach two doors and remove two warning signs stating, “Emergency Exit Only Push Until Alarm sounds,” before he reaches for a fire alarm and quickly walks away.

The damning footage contradicts past allegations by Bowman, who in the immediate aftermath of the incident claimed he’d mistakenly tried to go through the doors before believing the fire alarm may open them.

“I want to personally clear up confusion surrounding today’s events. Today, as I was rushing to make a vote, I came to a door that is usually open for votes but today would not open,” read a statement from Bowman’s office last month.

“I am embarrassed to admit that I activated the fire alarm, mistakenly thinking it would open the door. I regret this and sincerely apologize for any confusion this caused,” Bowman said, adding that he definitely wasn’t “trying to delay any vote.”

On Thursday, Bowman pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of falsely triggering the fire alarm and agreed to pay a $1,000 fine, in addition to writing an apology note to the Capitol Police and serving three months’ probation.

Following the case’s outcome, Bowman, who was previously a middle school principal, admitted to pulling the alarm and said he hoped Republicans wouldn’t capitalize on the incident.

“I’m thankful for the quick resolution from the District of Columbia Attorney General’s office on this issue and grateful that the United States Capitol Police General Counsel’s office agreed I did not obstruct nor intend to obstruct any House vote or proceedings. I am responsible for activating a fire alarm, I will be paying the fine issued, and look forward to these charges being ultimately dropped,” Bowman stated.

“I think we all know that Republicans will attempt to use this to distract everyone from their mess, but I look forward to putting this behind me and to continue working hard to deliver for New Yorkers,” he said.

According to ABC News, surveillance footage additionally showed Bowman walk right by two Capitol Police officers immediately after pulling the alarm, and did not alert them that he was the one who’d activated it which prompted a mass evacuation during a House vote on a stopgap spending bill to avoid a government shutdown last month.

While he pled guilty, Bowman still appeared to maintain he pulled the alarm by accident in comments Thursday, telling reporters, “I was trying to get out the door. I was rushing to a vote. I’m thankful that we have an agreement in place, and I’m thankful that in three months it’s going to be dismissed. And now let’s move on.”

Following the lenient verdict, many on social media questioned why Bowman, unlike Jan. 6 defendants, hadn’t been charged with obstructing an official proceeding.

Twitter/X owner Elon Musk has labelled the Scottish First Minister “a blatant racist,” leaving the comment on a video of a speech Humza Yousaf made in Parliament complaining about the number of white people in prominent positions.

In the video, which is a few years old, Yousaf, now the leader of the country, states “most senior positions in Scotland are filled almost exclusively by people who are white” going on to give examples like the Lord Justice Clerk, Solicitor General, and other senior political figures, claiming it is “not good enough.”

Elsewhere in the speech Yousaf, claimed that “we have to accept the reality and the evidence that is in front of us, that Scotland has a problem of structural racism.”

Border Hawk asked the Senator about the Secure the Border Act of 2023, of which he is a co-sponsor and which is the companion to the House-passed Secure the Border Act (H.R.2).

Among other things, the legislation will resume border wall construction, criminalize visa overstays, defund non-governmental organizations from receiving tax dollars that traffic illegal aliens into the heartland, prohibit the Department of Homeland Security from using its CBP One app to assist illegal aliens, and tighten asylum standards by restricting asylum to only aliens who present at ports of entry.

Johnson delivered unwelcome news about the bill to Americans looking for relief from the historic crisis.

“It doesn’t have a chance in the Senate,” he said. “There will be an attempt to put strong border security measures on any kind of funding for the wars. My guess is that the Democrats will resist it, and even if you pass something, I doubt that this lawless administration will implement the law.”

The Senator’s immigration grade, as scrutinized by NumbersUSA, an organization that advocates for lower immigration levels, is a perfect A+. He is Wisconsin’s senior senator who assumed office in 2011.

Israel Says “Ground Forces Expanding Operations Tonight” As Gaza Comms, Internet Cut

Update(1340ET): Over the last hour there have been widespread reports that communications to the Gaza have been externally cut, and minutes ago Israel’s military (IDF) spokesman has confirmed that ground forces are expanding their operations tonight, and simultaneously Gazans are being told to immediately evacuate the north and go to the south of the Strip. “Ground forces are expanding the ground activity this evening,” the IDF affirmed. Below is more of the statement from military spox, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari:

“The Air Force is striking underground targets very significantly,” he says, adding that ground forces will “expand” their activity tonight.

For the last two days, IDF infantry forces and tanks have conducted limited raids into the Gaza Strip. Hagari says the IDF will continue to strike Gaza City and surrounding areas in northern Gaza, and renews his call for Palestinians to evacuate to the Strip’s south.

“We are prepared to defend in all arenas. We are acting in order to protect the security interests of the State of Israel,” he says.

Currently broad swathes of Gaza are without electricity, water, or easily available food or medical supplies. Hospitals say they are on the their last batches of fuel to run generators. Al Shifa hospital, Gaza’s largest, is being threatened with aerial attack.

Update(1200ET): Friday has witnessed a flurry of premature ‘ceasefire imminent’ headlines which have turned out not to be true, at least by all other indicators, most especially the ground situation and the fact that Israel’s airstrikes have only stepped up in the last 48 hours. Israeli officials have rejected these false starts. For example, Doha-based Al Jazeera seems intent on presenting Qatar as the unsung ‘peace’ hero in all of this, while claiming that—

Al Jazeera sources say negotiations, mediated by Qatar, on a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hamas are “progressing and at an advanced stage”.

And yet, inbound rocket sirens continue to blare across southern Israel on Friday, and in the Strip IDF aerial forces are blasting away at Hamas HQ’s and locations. What’s more is there are reports saying Israel has increased its warnings for Al Shifa Hospital to be evacuated, which is Gaza’s largest medical complex.

Regional war correspondent Levent Kemal is being widely cited, who said, “Local Palestinian sources report that Israel has notified that it will strike all units of the Shifa Hospital.” A series of IDF public statements on Friday strongly suggest Israel is preparing military action against the hospital, saying that Hamas intentionally places military sites at the hospital and under the ground:

Hamas has denied and condemned the Israeli charge that it’s effectively using the hospital as a giant human shield:

On Friday, Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari said that “terrorists move freely in Al-Shifa hospital” in Gaza City, adding that it was being used to run part of Hamas’ command and control centre.

The Palestinian group strongly denied the claims on Friday.

“We categorically affirm the falsehood of the Israeli occupation’s story about the use of Al-Shifa Hospital for military purposes, or the presence of any Hamas leadership in it,” the group said in a statement.

“We call on the UN and Arab and Islamic countries to intervene immediately to stop the madness of bombing and destroying medical facilities,” it added.

In short, there’s been a lot of big claims on the diplomatic front in the last several hours, but with nothing materializing – and IDF and Hamas statements pointing to the opposite…

Oil and gold prices are sliding after a series of headlines hit this morning suggesting a ceasefire in the Hamas-Israel war is imminent.

Qatar-based Al-Jazeera says, quoting sources it didn’t name, that the Qatar-mediated negotiations are progressing “quickly” to achieve a “cease-fire” agreement and a hostage exchange deal between Israel and Hamas.

‘War premia’ are leaking out of gold…

…and oil is giving back gains after rallying overnight as the US conducted strikes on two Iran-linked facilities in Syria, reanimating investor concerns of a wider conflict and disrupt crude supplies….

Additionally, and perhaps more notably, Reuters reports that Qatar told the United States that it was open to reconsidering Hamas’s presence on its territory, a senior US official said on Friday, once the crisis over scores of hostages kidnapped by the militant group is resolved.

The understanding, which was first reported by the Washington Post, was reached during a meeting between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, when the top US diplomat was visiting Doha earlier this month, the official said.

Saudi Arabia warns US of ‘catastrophic’ consequences – NYT

Saudi Arabia has voiced grave concerns to US officials over Israel’s impending ground assault on Gaza, saying the incursion could be “catastrophic” for the Middle East, according to the New York Times.

During a meeting with US lawmakers in Riyadh last week, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman warned that an Israeli invasion of Gaza would be “extremely harmful” for the broader region, Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal told the NYT.

“The Saudi leadership was hopeful that a ground operation could be avoided for reasons of stability as well as the loss of life,” he said.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who was part of the US delegation, added that the crown prince sought to prevent “a longer and deeper conflict” in the Middle East.

Bin Salman voiced similar fears directly to US President Joe Biden when the two leaders spoke on Wednesday, stressing the need to avoid “a situation that affects the security and stability of the region.” He went on to call for a “fair and comprehensive peace” that secures the “legitimate rights” of Palestinians, and urged Israel to lift its “siege” on Gaza.

The White House has signaled strong support for Israel since a deadly Hamas attack earlier this month, and responded to the heightened tensions with military deployments across the Middle East. US officials say the moves were meant to deter outside actors from taking part in the Gaza war, frequently pointing to Iran and affiliated militia groups in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.

During his call with Bin Salman, Biden also spoke of the need to “prevent the conflict from expanding,” suggesting that “state and non-state actors” would seek to get involved.

Other Arab leaders have echoed Bin Salman’s concerns in recent days. At the Cairo Summit for Peace in Egypt last weekend, Jordan’s King Abdullah saidthe world must “work urgently” for a ceasefire, warning of a “humanitarian disaster pushing our entire region into the abyss.”

Though the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have so far delayed a full-scale ground attack on Gaza, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has outlined a three-stage plan to eliminate Hamas and establish a new “security regime” in the Palestinian territory, beginning with airstrikes and followed by “maneuvers” on the ground.

The IDF has mobilized 360,000 reservists in preparation for the assault, and has pounded Gaza with daily air raids for nearly three weeks. More than 1,400 Israelis have been killed in the latest bout of violence, in addition to over 7,000 Palestinians, according to local officials.

HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher acknowledged there is a deep state he characterized as “the bureaucratic class that justifies its existence by making up new rules” made up of “petty tyrants” who ignore the will of the American people.

Near the end of his Friday show, Maher used a straw man fallacy to diminish conservative’s concerns of the weaponized intelligence agencies, instead saying the real deep state is comprised of legions of bureaucrats within the federal government.

“It’s time to admit that here in America, there really is such a thing as the deep state, but it’s not the one MAGA nation is freaked out about. The FBI is not a bunch of closet radicals, it’s a bunch of guys who iron their underwear,” Maher said.

“Washington is a city full of big, stone buildings full of bureaucrats, but they’re not plotting against real Americans. They’re issuing passports, cutting Social Security checks, running the Census, updating maps, buying bullets for Ukraine, inspecting dog food, ordering blue plastic gloves for the TSA, and measuring the methane in cow farts.”

“But there is a deep state, which is the bureaucratic class that justifies its existence by making up new rules…it’s the vast network of regulators, administrators, inspectors, contract reviewers, project managers, fee [assessors], special commissioners, zoning officers, and consultants whose jobs seem to be to make sure nothing ever happens and then charge you for it. The people who answer the phone, permit office, how may I hinder you?” Maher continued.

“15% of workers in America work for the government, that’s 24 million people, with one shared vision: to fine you if your mailbox is too big. They say a conservative is a liberal who just got mugged, but it could also be a liberal who just got cockblocked trying to remodel a porch…or got a parking ticket because their car was facing out instead of in,” he added.

Of course, conservatives are well aware that the deep state is not just a cabal of weaponized intelligence agencies, but also the massive federal bureaucracy former Trump adviser Steve Bannon refers to as the “Administrative State.”

Total of 5,000 US Soldiers Partook in Israel’s Overnight Raid in Northern Gaza — Reports

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A total of 5,000 US servicepeople took part in Israel’s overnight ground operation in northern Gaza, Iranian news agency reported on Saturday, citing sources.

The Israeli operation reportedly involved three divisions and several brigades of the US Armed Forces, according to the news agency.

The Israeli army is now trying to divide the Gaza Strip into two or three zones by entering from these areas and then starting the next phase of the war with Palestine to eliminate the link between the forces of Palestinian movement Hamas, the report said.

Earlier on Saturday, Ali Baraka, the head of Hamas National Relations Abroad, said Israel’s overnight attempt to launch a ground offensive from three directions on the Gaza Strip failed and Israeli troops suffered heavy losses.

At the same time, Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari said that the Israeli military had suffered no casualties during the overnight operation in the northern Gaza Strip.

‘Sanctuary City’ of New York Now Offering Illegals Free One-Way Airplane Tickets to Leave

New York City, touted by Democrats as a “sanctuary city”, is now offering illegal aliens free one-way planet tickets to leave for other destinations anywhere in the world.

New York City’s Democrat Mayor Eric Adams on Thursdaya called on the federal government to implement a “decompression strategy” to deal with the massive influx of asylum-seekers and ease pressure on its migrant shelters.

Over 130,000 migrants from around the world have poured into NYC since last year.

A spokesperson for Adam said on Friday the city has set up a “reticketing center” where migrants can secure a plane ticket.

The city will increase efforts “to purchase tickets for migrants to help them take the next steps in their journeys.”

“It helps us triage operations” for new arrivals at The Roosevelt Hotel, the spokesperson said, referring to a once-closed hotel that was reopened as a shelter for asylum seekers earlier this year.

Adams said that the city has taken in a massive amount of illegal migrants compared to other parts of the country.

“When people come across the border, we have 108,000 cities and villages — we should spread them out across the entire country, and not just New York, Chicago, Chicago, Los Angeles and Houston,” he said.

In addition to the plane ticket strategy, NYC also set up a naval airfield as an emergency site, handed out tents to migrants for outdoor temporary tent camps in Central Park and Prospect Park, vacated hotels and used vacant office buildings, school gyms and emergency shelters to house the migrants.

Adams in August also called on the Biden regime to declare a state of emergency in the city, warning the migrant influx may cost taxpayers $12 billion over the next few years.

Part of New York City’s major influx is due to Govs. Greg Abbott (R-Texas) and Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) busing illegals to the “sanctuary city” to make a political point to the Democrats that their open-border policies are disastrous for the country.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday accused Israel of committing war crimes and threatened to declare war on the Jewish nation and deploy its military into Gaza.

Erdogan addressed hundreds of thousands of pro-Palestine supporters at a rally in Istanbul, delcaring Israel as a “war criminal” that may be met with military force if it continues its assault on Gaza.

“The main culprit behind the massacre unfolding in Gaza is the West. Israel has been openly committing war crimes for 22 days, but the Western leaders cannot even call on Israel for a ceasefire, let alone react to it,” Erdogan told the crowd, who were waving Palestinian flags. “With this attitude, the West has accumulated a lot of sins.”

“We will tell the whole world that Israel is a war criminal. We are making preparations for this. We will declare Israel a war criminal.”

“From now on, we will continue on our path with the motto that we may suddenly knock on your door one night,” he added.

Erdogan also defended Hamas jihadists as “freedom fighters” and accused Israel of illegally occupying Palestinian land.

Israel has launched relentless airstrikes in Gaza for weeks in the wake of Hamas’ Oct. 7 terror attack on the Jewish nation.

In response, 120 countries during a United Nations general assembly on Friday voted in favor of adopting a resolution calling for an “immediate, durable and sustained humanitarian truce.”

Israel cut off power and communications for millions of people trapped in Gaza on Friday before launching the first wave of its ground invasion as tanks and thousands of troops advanced on the Palestinian enclave.

Israel recalled its diplomats from Turkey in reaction to Erdogan’s remarks.

Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn), who’s entered into the 2024 presidential race to challenge Joe Biden, said that while he voted for Biden’s policies, they have only resulted in inflation, a border crisis, and soaring inner city crime.

“I am a fan of Joe Biden. I admire him. I voted for his policies,” Phillips said Friday on NewsNation’s “Elizabeth Vargas Reports.”

When asked if he was just a “younger version of Biden” given Democrats’ concerns over Biden’s age and that his “voting record is nearly 100% in support of Biden’s policies,” Phillips responded that he’s running because “it’s time for a change.”

“No, I’m Dean Phillips. And yes, I’m a lot younger than President Biden. I was three years old when he became a senator. He’s been serving our country for 50 years, and I admire that,” Phillips said. “But I’m also hearing it’s time for a change. Yes, I voted for his policies as a member of the House Democratic leadership team. I helped distribute those policies and market those policies. That said, there are massive –”

After Vargas cut in to ask what he’d do differently than Biden, Phillips lambasted the results of Biden’s policies he himself helped promote, including inflation, a collapsed southern border, and skyrocketing crime in inner cities.

“Let me start with affordability, it is a massive crisis in America right now, the cost of living. People’s mortgages are skyrocketing, fuel is too expensive, food is too expensive, health care — if it’s even obtainable — is double the price of anywhere in the world, medicine, three times more than anywhere else in the world,” Phillips said.

“We are falling behind. American middle-class, hard-working people are not being heard. They are angry, they’re frustrated. And that is job one.

“We have a border crisis. We have crime in cities and chaos,” he continued. “We have a federal government that is run so ineffectively and so inefficiently, does not focus on customer service, doesn’t use zero-based budgeting, we don’t have term limits.”

“So, therefore, we have the same people making the same decisions, and often the same mistakes time and time again. I’m making a proposition for change,” he added.

‘Definitely Misinformation’: US Denies American Troops Took Part in Israeli Ground Offensive

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The US Special Operations Command has denied media reports that alleged US forces have been involved in Israel’s ongoing ground operation in the Gaza Strip.

“Definitely misinformation,” a US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) spokesperson told Sputnik on Saturday.

The spokesperson’s response came in light of reports by Iranian media that some 5,000 US military personnel were taking part in the Gaza ground expansion.

It was also noted American troops had largely taken control of ongoing operations, and that Israeli officials had “lost trust in the management abilities and loyalty of a number of army personnel.”

Iranian media further outlined that Israeli military were working to divide their offensive in the Gaza Strip into at least two zones before launching an all-out effort to clamp down on the militant Palestinian group Hamas.

It was earlier reported by US media that Israel kicked up its military operations in light of unfruitful talks to gain the release of hostages taken by Hamas. However, media reports elsewhere offered a much different picture, with some reporting that “significant progress” had been made in ongoing talks.

Hamas representatives have repeatedly voiced its openness to release hostages as part of a ceasefire exchange; in fact, Yahya Sinwar, the head of the Palestinian group’s political bureau in Gaza, said on Saturday that the group was open for an “immediate swap.”

“We are open for an immediate swap deal that would guarantee the release of all prisoners held in occupation prisons in return for the release of all hostages held by the resistance force,” Yahya Sinwar said.

At present, more than 200 people – believed to be both soldiers and civilians – have been taken into the group’s custody and reportedly kept in underground passageways. Earlier concerns were raised that a potential move to flood Hamas’ tunnel system would claim the lives of said hostages.

To date, thousands of people have died since Hamas launched its October 7 surprise attack on Israel, and the Israeli state’s repeated bombardment of Palestinian territory in Gaza. Official figures have put the Israeli death toll at some 1,400 people, whereas upwards of 7,000 Palestinians have been killed.

In a Fox News interview, Paul warned that “they’ll bankrupt our country in sending money everywhere all over the planet,” adding “It is probably the greatest threat to our national security.”

Paul further urged that “The greatest threat to it is the national debt. We borrowed a trillion dollars in the last three months. It is out-of-control spending, and we are threatening the very existence of our currency, and perhaps our country, by this crazy, profligate spending.”

The Senator continued, “the big government Republicans in the Senate have already joined hands with the Democrats over here — they want $100 billion to everyone.”

“People forget we have to borrow the money or print the money because we don’t have the money,” Paul added.
