We’re talking about the display resolution. OnePlus China President, Li Jie, confirmed that the phone will feature a 1.5K screen resolution.

The OnePlus 15 will have a better display than its predecessor, despite the lowered resolution

If you consider that the OnePlus 13 includes a QHD+ display, this sure seems like a downgrade. We don’t exactly see it that way. Why? Well, because the new display on the OnePlus 15 will not only be technically more advanced, but it will also support a higher refresh rate.

On a display of that size, almost nobody can see the difference between 1.5K and QHD+ resolution, let’s be honest. The executive himself tried to explain that this is a technical decision rather than a cost-cutting measure.

A QHD+ resolution was impossible to combine with a 165Hz refresh rate

He explained that the resolution has been lowered because it’s not possible to have a QHD+ screen running at 165Hz on a phone. Li Jie said: “Due to limitations in luminescent materials and circuit technology, the industry is currently unable to achieve the 165Hz + 2K specifications simultaneously.”

He said that a 1.5K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate was the “optimal solution”. He also noted that this is the industry’s first 1.5K display running at 165Hz. All that does give you a different outlook on things.

The OnePlus 15’s display is more expensive, it’s not a cost-cutting measure

Furthermore, Li Jie also said that the OnePlus 15’s display is actually more expensive than the one in the OnePlus 13. Therefore, the whole cost-cutting argument really makes no sense. He added that everything from the screen’s luminiscent materials and drivers to circuit design had to be “independently developed and reconstructed.”

OnePlus confirmed earlier that the display in question will be a 165Hz panel from BOE, and that the OnePlus 15 will have extremely thin 1.15mm bezels around that display.

The phone will become official on October 27 in China, while the global launch will likely follow in November. November 13 is mentioned as the date, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.

The post OnePlus 15’s “Downgraded” Display Might Actually Be a Major Upgrade appeared first on Android Headlines.
Meta Display Glasses: The TRUTH About Their Usefulness https://www.geeky-gadgets.com/meta-display-glasses-featurs/ Geeky-Gadgets urn:uuid:a8a7013e-ab16-3430-ac15-d31f018d3c57 Thu, 23 Oct 2025 11:00:22 +0000
The Meta Display Glasses mark a significant step in the evolution of wearable technology, combining advanced hardware with forward-thinking features. Some users have reported freezing issues, while other says that the app crashes completely. These issues have made it difficult for users to enjoy uninterrupted music or listen to podcasts. Spotify has reportedly acknowledged the freezing and crashing issues on Android and is investigating the cause.

Spotify confirms its Android apps’ freezing and crashing issue

The crashing and freezing issue of Spotify seems to be mainly affecting Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel devices. As per the report, the app becomes unresponsive and ends up crashing when the device is connected to Wi-Fi. Other Android phones don’t seem to be affected as much. The exact cause behind the issue remains unknown. But thankfully, Spotify has acknowledged the issue and its team is actively working to provide a permanent solution.

Apart from the crashing and freezing issues, some users have also reported interruptions while streaming music or podcasts. Until the problem is officially addressed, the users are advised to use the mobile data whenever possible. Since the investigation is underway, it shouldn’t take long for the tech giant to provide a fix.

Users are advised not to use external speakers until the fix is provided

Apart from the crashing issues, users relying on smart speakers or casting music to other devices may face additional interruptions. Some users notice only slowdowns, while others experience complete crashes, making the app partially unusable at times. The only temporary workaround as of now is to switch to mobile data.

Users are also advised to follow Spotify’s social media and updates channel to know about the status of the investigation. They may also regularly check for app updates, in case the brand rolls out an update with a patch. Moreover, iOS and web users need not worry about the issue.

The post Android Users Report Spotify Crashes—Spotify Confirms the Issue appeared first on Android Headlines.
iPadOS 26.1 Beta 4: The Game-Changing Features You Need to Know https://www.geeky-gadgets.com/ipados-26-1-beta-4-features/ Geeky-Gadgets urn:uuid:21244128-a6ea-9790-74a4-4346d8acc65a Thu, 23 Oct 2025 07:00:54 +0000
Apple’s iPadOS 26.1 Beta 4 brings a range of updates designed to enhance the user experience through improved customization, usability, and performance. The eufy C10 Robot Vacuum is now on sale for just $219, down from its regular price of $479 — that’s a huge $260 discount. For less than half the usual price, you’re getting a fully automated robot vacuum with features that rival models twice the cost.

The eufy C10 is all about convenience. It comes with a self-emptying dock that holds up to 3 liters of debris, meaning you can go up to 60 days without having to touch a dustbin. It also packs an impressive 4,000 Pa of suction power, allowing it to pull up dust, pet hair, and crumbs from carpets and hard floors with ease. Despite its strength, it’s surprisingly compact — at just 2.85 inches tall, it can glide under couches, beds, and low furniture where most robot vacuums can’t reach.

What sets this model apart is eufy’s Edge Expansion design, which helps the side brush dig deeper into corners and edges for a more complete clean. The C10 also uses point-laser and multi-infrared sensors to map your home and navigate intelligently, ensuring it doesn’t just bump around aimlessly. You can control it through the eufy Clean app, though you’ll want to make sure your Wi-Fi network runs on 2.4 GHz for the best connection.

While it doesn’t include a mopping feature or high-end LiDAR navigation, those are small trade-offs for the price. This vacuum is especially great for pet owners, apartment dwellers, and anyone tired of daily vacuuming chores. At $219, the eufy C10 is easily one of the best robot vacuum deals available right now — a perfect mix of power, design, and value that makes keeping your floors spotless nearly effortless.

Lowest Price

eufy C10 Robot Vacuum – $219

<div class="ah-deal-text" data-full-text="This compact robot vacuum has powerful suction, as well as LiDAR for mapping out your home. The child doesn’t know much, but the more you teach it, the smarter they become. That’s the same for AI, where the more information and data it’s being fed, the smarter it gets. However, there is the question of where that data is coming from. Unfortunately, Perplexity has landed itself in some legal trouble as Reddit has filed a lawsuit against the AI company for allegedly ripping off its content.

Reddit files lawsuit against Perplexity AI

According to the lawsuit, Reddit has been aware of data-scraping service providers who have been scraping the internet of data, which is then used to train AI models. The lawsuit also reveals that Reddit reached out to Perplexity back in May 2024, demanding that the AI company stop scraping its data.

But according to Perplexity, it did not use Reddit content to train its AI models. The company also said that it would respect Reddit’s robots.txt. However, after the letter Perplexity sent to Reddit, the company found that the volume of Reddit citations used by Perplexity actually increased. The company tested it out by creating a post that could only be crawled by Google. Within hours, Perplexity produced the contents of that post.

Reddit says, “The only way that Perplexity could have obtained that Reddit content and then used it in its ‘answer engine’ is if it and/or its Co-Defendants scraped Google SERPs for that Reddit content and Perplexity then quickly incorporated that data into its answer engine.”

Jesse Dwyer, Perplexity’s head of communication has since responded with a statement of their own. Speaking to The Verge, Dwyer said, “Perplexity has not yet received the lawsuit, but we will always fight vigorously for users’ rights to freely and fairly access public knowledge. Our approach remains principled and responsible as we provide factual answers with accurate AI, and we will not tolerate threats against openness and the public interest.”

Not the first time

Perplexity is not the first company to find itself in trouble after allegedly using data from other platforms to train its AI models. The New York Times has filed multiple lawsuits against AI companies such as OpenAI and even Microsoft. Large publications have also appealed to the government to stop this theft of data by AI companies.

However, not all companies are guilty of this so-called theft. Other companies, like Amazon, have inked deals with publications like the New York Times to use its data. Perplexity has also done something similar. The company might not have a deal with Reddit, but it has a deal with other publishers. This is part of its Comet Plus subscription.

For those unfamiliar, Comet Plus is a subscription priced at $5 a month. It gives users access to “premium content” from trusted publishers and journalists. From that subscription, Perplexity will give those publishers a cut.

The post Reddit Sues Perplexity AI Over Alleged Data Scraping and Content Theft appeared first on Android Headlines.
Google Home Just Got Way Easier to Set Up—Thanks to Gemini https://www.androidheadlines.com/2025/10/google-home-just-got-way-easier-to-set-up-thanks-to-gemini.html AndroidHeadlines.com | urn:uuid:7a34ec4c-d5b5-3b2d-789a-018116357a2b Thu, 23 Oct 2025 11:23:23 +0000
The post Google Home Just Got Way Easier to Set Up—Thanks to Gemini appeared first on Android Headlines.

Google is slowly integrating Gemini into all of its first-party applications. In a recent development, the tech giant has introduced a Gemini-inspired update to its Home app, making it easier for users to set up the device. The update complements the older setup flow with an easier and more flexible option.

Google Home’s new device setup experience is easier and flexible

On the latest Home app version 4.1.55.1, Google has added a new and easier way to set up devices. Earlier, the user would have to scan a QR code or reply to the app to detect the nearby compatible devices automatically. But with the new update, there’s a new option that lets you search for devices by brand or model name. When you tap the “add device” button, a new screen appears with a list of compatible devices and linked apps.

The new interface makes it a lot easier to find and add compatible devices. This is even more beginner-friendly for people who are new to tech and have no idea where to begin. On top of this, the user can also view which devices support Matter, a key feature for cross-device connection. Most products now include a photo to confirm that the user has selected the right one.

Google aims to make the app as user-friendly as possible

Google’s goal with this update is pretty simple. It wants to make the Home app more intuitive. The current QR-code-based setup method can be frustrating for many. The new update provides a smoother experience by allowing direct selection from the list. It removes unnecessary options and provides a seamless and accurate device pairing.

Furthermore, keep in mind that the feature is not live for everyone yet. Moreover, the update will not replace the current setup option but will serve as an additional method. It’s still under testing, and a stable rollout is expected to begin in the coming months.

The post Google Home Just Got Way Easier to Set Up—Thanks to Gemini appeared first on Android Headlines.
Apple’s Next Big Thing? Which will be a book-style foldable like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. However, that’s not the only foldable on Apple’s roadmap.

In 2028, Apple is now rumored to launch a few more form factors, including a flip iPhone. This phone will sport an external display like most other flip phones that will show basic information like shortcuts, notifications, etc. It will also have curved edges and feature a lightweight design. But that’s about it for what we know about this device right now.

Apple is also rumored to be launching a ‘bezel-less’ iPhone in 2027. This would use a four-edge bending OLED and get a ‘Crater diffusion layer’ that is going to solve issues with brightness uniformity. It would also feature an under-display solution for Face ID and mark the iPhone’s 20th anniversary.

Of course, with any rumors, it’s important to take all of this with a grain of salt. Since we are still 2-3 years from this happening, it could still be a while before it comes to fruition.

Folding iPhones are right around the corner

We’re almost ready for folding iPhones, which seems weird to say since Samsung is on its 7th generation foldable, and by the time the iPhone Fold launches, Samsung will have the Galaxy Z Fold 8 out.

But, Apple has never been first with launching new tech, especially something as new as a foldable. Foldables have taken quite some time to really mature, and we’re finally getting there. The only real issue that foldables have these days is going to be the cameras. Most foldables have good cameras, but still lag behind the ‘Pro’ slab phones.

It appears that Apple has some big changes coming to the iPhone around the time of its 20th anniversary, with a number of new form factors.

The post Apple’s Next Big Thing?
