I start grad school this fall and while I’m super excited to start, I’ve been having trouble finding ways to pay for school. I have applied to over 40 scholarships and as of right now I haven’t received any money yet. Any advice on how to pay for grad school?

I may be able to pay for it through work but it’s not 100% certain. Also based on my salary, I’m not sure what my school will give me.

I'll have been graduated by mid June, and the university I want to apply to offers many scholarships. I don't know anybody who has applied to scholarships before so I have no idea how to even start. how should I format my scholarship application? what should I mention in the video? also my school doesnt offer extracurricular activities so I don't know what to mention there. these are the requirements that require submitting a portfolio:

Applicants to submit a portfolio to include:

An essay detailing extracurricular activities, talents, social activities and anticipated contribution to AUS
Evidence of outstanding personal qualities and leadership abilities in schools/community
Evidence of scientific or literary contributions to the community
School honors/awards, community service and school extracurricular activities

Hey Reddit community, I'm reaching out in hopes of gaining some clarity on a tough decision I'm facing. After months of anticipation, I was ecstatic to be taken off the NYU waitlist. However, it's for the London campus, not New York. Studying at the London campus is something I always wanted to do. it's the perfect mix of my passion for liberal arts and my desire to dive into a new culture. The challenge is the financial aspect. Even after aid, I'm looking at an $87k bill. My family is supportive, but the cost of an overseas program is daunting. While the NYC campus is excellent, it's a super competitive program and so many people said they felt safer in London and the professors were better, etc. I'm determined to make this work and am considering appealing for more financial aid and applying for scholarships. My dad's GI bill helps, but it won't cover everything, and he's hesitant about the London option. I would love to hear from anyone who's faced a similar choice or has experience n. NYU. How did you navigate this decision? What factors influenced you? Any insights or advice on appealing for more aid or scholarship opportunities would be greatly appreciated. I applied to a lot but some are sketchy and my whole head is spinning because I have a short deadline

Hi, I just completed my masters in data science in Finland as an international student. Currently I am working as a data scientist at a Finnish company. I have a plan to persue my PhD, but I can't find any PhD program in which the fund is higher than my current salary. My current salary is around 50k euro per year. I cant leave this job and accept lower income for the next 4/5 years as my lifestyle is used to this salary. Now my question is:

Please mention some countries and universities where PhD fund is higher than my salary?

I am planning to leave this country because here salary never exceeds 100k to be honest. Please take in mind that in Finland health, education, and day care is free. Job security and work life balance is too good. So do you think its a good idea to leave this country for the USA, Canada, UAE, or Australia?

I've lived overseas for almost my entire life, moving around. My mom's in the army. I currently live in an APO address on a military base. I'm a junior about to become a senior, and I'm looking for scholarship opportunities. However, looking at the scholarships, pretty much every single scholarship says I must be living in the US. Does this mean I'm ineligible for most scholarships? And if so, that seems very weird that they would exclude military kids.

So, I graduated high school in summer 2023, and I will go to college this fall (had a gap year). When do I start to consider myself a freshman to apply for scholarships for college freshmen?

I don’t qualify for high school once, I can’t find scholarships for students like myself, and I don’t know what to do. Don’t have anyone to ask for advice.

I was accepted into grad school and am now applying for scholarships. The prompt that was given for the application essay is very similar to the prompt given for one of the scholarships at the same school. I have to send the scholarship essay to the same general school email that I sent my application essay too.

Would it be ok if I used the same essay with just slight edits? I am afraid if they see the same essay they might think im not qualified for the scholarship since I didn't write it from scratch or it would be considered self-plagerism.

I'm in really big trouble. Long story short, I graduated from college using my GI Bill, but I got screwed over since my school. I was using one month of it for Fall 2022, then I found out it was more beneficial for me to use it during Spring 2023 since it would cover more. But the thing is, my school sent back the money for Fall 2022 and didn't receive anything back fir Spring 2023. They say they can't cancel it cause I already used it during the fall and received BAH. The VA office said that I can't "conserve my benefits." Even though I graduated, I have to pay 2.1k. Does anyone know of any scholarships that I can apply to even though I graduated? I'm really screwed cause I don't have this money.

I was (and still am) a CNA during the entire pandemic for residents with dementia. 5+ years. I will be a returning student pursuing my bachelor's. My degree is undecided though, I want to explore other vocations beyond Healthcare. I still want to help people in some way.
