Trey Smith’s latest video takes us on a wild (but seriously fascinating) journey to the Creation Evidence Museum in Glen Rose, Texas—a museum that doesn’t just challenge conventional timelines… it stomps right over them. Literally.

At the heart of the museum is the controversial Alvis Delk Print—what appears to be a dinosaur footprint pressing down on a human footprint, both fossilized in the same piece of rock. If you’re already raising an eyebrow, good. This kind of evidence isn’t meant to be dismissed with a shrug. It’s meant to make us think.

And that’s exactly what this film does.

Out of Place Artifacts?

Alongside the Delk Print, the museum houses relics like the London Hammer, an iron tool encased in ancient rock dated to the Cretaceous period. Then there are fossilized human handprints, giant bones, and more strange artifacts that don’t quite fit in the neat boxes of modern science. These objects aren’t just mysterious—they directly contradict long-held scientific assumptions about timelines, technology, and human presence.

Scientists often refer to these anomalies as “OOPArts” — Out Of Place Artifacts. It’s a term that hints at how uncomfortable some of this evidence makes the mainstream secular narrative.

Rather than labeling these findings as fringe, maybe the real question should be: What if these artifacts are exactly where they’re supposed to be—and we just don’t understand the full picture yet?

Pre-Flood Atmosphere and the Biosphere Experiment

One of the most exciting features of the museum is its in-progress hyperbaric biosphere, designed to mimic the pre-flood conditions of Earth—higher oxygen, elevated CO₂ levels, and increased pressure.

Early results? Pretty wild. In one small-scale trial, a copperhead snake kept in the biosphere for three weeks reportedly produced venom that transformed at the molecular level—from a deadly toxin into a compound with healing properties. We’re not saying this is Jurassic Park, but… it’s definitely not your high school biology class either.

These findings open the door to huge questions: Did ancient atmospheres support not only bigger life forms (like dinosaurs and giant ferns) but also radically different biological functions?

Science Without an Agenda

Let’s be honest—science, like any human system, can be influenced by bias, funding, or pressure to conform. What is the Evidence for the Tower of Babel?

One of the recurring challenges we faced when editing Is Genesis History? was cutting down multi-hour interviews to fit 10 minute segments. It was always a painful process, primarily because we left so much incredible material out of the film.

We especially felt that way with archaeologist Dr. Douglas Petrovich.* When we filmed him at the Oriental Institute of Chicago, he carefully explained how he had surveyed all the relevant archeological data in order to come to the specific conclusion that Eridu was the site of the original Babel. There was an enormous amount of evidence he had amassed for his arguments, much of it never before having been discovered or put together by anyone.

Unfortunately, we had to edit out quite a bit of his arguments. That’s one of the reasons we wanted to produce our series Beyond Is Genesis History? We felt we needed to make sure people could hear the entire story of why these scientists thought the way they did.

Reverse Engineering

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Doug’s approach is that, due to his training as an archaeologist, he does not start with the location of the actual building. Instead, he points out Genesis 11 describes a technologically-advanced people who suddenly dispersed throughout the ancient Near East, in distinct and new patterns that could easily be explained by their having been divided into linguistic groups according to their ethnicities.

He assumed this massive dispersion would be easier to identify archaeologically than a half-finished tower. He therefore worked his way back to the source of the dispersion, then looked for evidence of a large, unfinished building. In this extremely interesting way, he reverse engineered the account recorded in Genesis 11 to arrive at his conclusions.

One of those conclusions was that, prior to this dispersion, people moved toward urban living in only one place: southern Sumer. Interestingly, Eridu is universally recognized as the world’s first city. Doug also pointed out that there were many other sites where communities and villages had been established, often before Eridu was settled.

This is an interesting divergence from the view held by many creationists. It is believed that all the people in the world were living at Babel before their dispersion. As a teacher of ancient languages, however, Doug observes that the Hebrew text of Genesis 11:1-2 does not specifically state the entire population of the earth moved to a single site, just that the entire world spoke the same language.

It’s worth reviewing the context of the Genesis 11 account. After the Flood, Genesis 10 describes the dispersion of different people groups throughout the world as they descended from Noah’s three sons. At the end of each son’s lineage, Moses says the different peoples were divided into languages, clans, and nations. He finishes this Table of Nations by explaining that:

These are the clans of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, in their nations, and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood. Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. (Gen 10:32-11:2)

In his discussions, Doug noted that the word “Shinar” is the Hebrew cognate (i.e. equivalent) of the Akkadian word “Shumer,” which historians today call “Sumer.” Furthermore, as is common in many Hebrew texts, Moses is going back in history to explain how the many different languages originated.

Yet when did this actually happen?

Some scholars think Moses provides a chronological indicator when he says “to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan.” (Gen 10:25) From the context, it makes sense this division could be referring to the division of languages at Babel mentioned just a few sentences later. Depending on whether one follows the Masoretic or Septuagint chronological tradition (Doug holds to the Septuagint dates), Peleg lived 5 or 6 generations after Noah. If one follows the Masoretic dates, it’s over 100 years; if one follows the Septuagint dates, however, it’s over 500 years.

Again, the generally-held view of many creationists is that all the people of the world were living together at Babel. Yet the text merely says “as people migrated from the east.” If read in context of the preceding Table of Nations, it would seem to be referring to one of the many migrations of people spreading over the face of the earth.

Nevertheless, it has always been assumed that Genesis 11 implied everyone was still living together in one place on the plain of Shinar (or Sumer). Otherwise, how could all the languages of the earth have been changed? The traditional view is a reasonable assumption, but perhaps there is another way of looking at the event that also maintains the integrity of the text.

Dispersion and Languages

Doug Petrovich’s perspective is that, after the Flood, groups of people began to spread out slowly over the face of the earth as documented in Genesis 10. They lived in smaller communities with less technological development, something he says fits with the archeological record.

In Genesis 11, however, he sees a unique technological event: a group of people move to the plains of Shinar and begin to build the first major city. Moses describes them as a proud people who applied specific technological skills to create a new type of urban community where they could rebel together against God; their largest building would have “its top in the heavens.”

As a result of their pride, God judges them by confusing their language and dispersing them over the earth. Doug explains that he sees this dispersion in the archeological record. In some places, the post-Babel groups built new communities in undeveloped regions, in others they slaughtered the local inhabitants of an existing community and overtook the site, and, in a few others, they moved into an existing town but lived in a separate area as possibly the world’s first segregated neighborhoods.

Looked at from this perspective, God’s act of changing the languages at Babel, then dispersing the new linguistic groups throughout the earth, is what transformed a single language into many different languages. The new languages spread through the earth like ripples in a pond as the new peoples interacted with each other.

Granted, this is a fresh perspective on an old question. Yet it has much to commend itself. It is a good example of a scientist taking the Biblical text as real history, then looking at the world to see where the data fits with it.

Nevertheless, there is still much work to be done to synchronize the archeological record with the Biblical account. The primary problem is that too few people are working in this area. The challenge of reconciling the various dating methods, the archaeological data, and the different chronological traditions still remains to be solved. So What's Next?

As of right now, our next big book project is a God In A Nutshell edition of the Book of Jasher. With Exodus Part 1: The Rise of Joseph on the verge of being released, we want to get our edition of Jasher out to correspond with it as quickly as possible.

It’s a little early to show previews of it just yet, but suffice it to say, it will be every bit as unique and special as our edition of Enoch.

Once this is done however, we want to release a hard copy edition of The Book of Enoch as well, so be on the lookout for updates on this.

This has been the plan all along, but these things take time, and it just hasn’t been our top priority with all of the film projects going on. Look for it to be released some time after our edition of Jasher hits the shelves.

Although we’re very pleased with this first edition of the Enoch we’ve had a lot of ideas for how to make it even better since its release, so the hard copy edition will likely be expanded and revised a bit from this edition currently available.

What Is the Meaning of The Vav?

In both the Vav Part One & Two we explore the empires of Earth. There are six (6) basic ages of empires leading to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Those empires, beginning with Sumer and Akkad (together later called “Assyria,”) are: Assyria, Egypt, Babylon, Persia, Greece, then Rome. Some would call the age in which we live now: Rome Phase II. Here is an image (beneath) representing those six (6) major empires that rose and fell.

Six Ages of Empires. The dates of the Great Flood above are the common range accepted by Biblical Scholars. Note: You can make those dates whatever you wish and the six ages of empires remain the same.

Of the empires listed above, the only one that was never actually conquered was the Roman Empire—it collapsed under the weight of its own bureaucracy and corruption. In fact, it could easily be said that the Roman Empire became the Roman Catholic Church.

The famous historian Flavius Josephus (37AD – 100AD) wrote: “Now the sons of Noah were three, – Shem, Japhet, and Ham, born one hundred years before the Deluge…” “…These, first of all, descended from the mountains into the plains, and fixed their habitation there—and persuaded others who were greatly afraid of the lower grounds on account of the flood, and so were very loath to come down from the higher places, to venture to follow their examples. The plain in which they first dwelt was called Shinar.” “Now, it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God. He was the grandson of Ham, the son of Noah, a bold man, and of great strength of hand. He persuaded them not to ascribe it to God, as if it was through his means they were happy, but to believe that it was their own courage that procured that happiness. He also gradually changed the government into tyranny, seeing no other way of turning men from the fear of God, but to bring them into a constant dependence on his power. He also said he would be avenged on God, if he should have a mind to drown the world again; for that, he would build a tower too high for the waters to be able to reach! and that he would avenge himself on God for destroying their forefathers!” ~ Flavius Josephus

Beneath is a diagram of artifacts from Sumer and Akkad (later called Assyria.) The artifacts, including the Epic of Gilgamesh, Sumerian Kings List, Enmerkar and Lord of Aratta Tablet, and Utu/Enlil Idol, are but a handful of many documents seeming to match the Biblical persons of: Noah, Ham, Cush, then Nimrod.

Noah to Nimrod on Sumerian/Akkadian Artifacts

In fact, Noah is covered worldwide in literally hundreds of names. However, on the first tablets and stones following the flood, from the lineage of Ham, Cush, and Nimrod, they speak of Noah as if there were a family feud. On one end, the lineage of Ham’s sons seems to dislike or hate Noah. On the other end, they can not stop talking and writing about Noah. We can also see that the first “sun god” of Earth was called “Utu” or the “Shamash.” This is very probably one and the same as Noah’s rebellious son Ham. In the image beneath (the Adda Seal) Utu is shown, with a knife in hand, coming forth from between two mountain peaks; probably the twin peaks of the Ararat Mountains. Accordingly, modern scholars believe that the two streams of water traveling strangely over Enki’s shoulder represent the Tigris & Euphrates. This would certainly agree with both Genesis and Josephus as the land of Shinar, where Nimrod built his tower, is also down the Tigris & Euphrates from where Utu came from, towards the Persian Gulf.

However, I would note that Enki is always displayed coming through some type of strange portal in the artwork. He was the “god” of Eridu, where the Tower of Babel would later rise. In legend after legend Enki comes from the underworld and has some connection with the claim of subterranean waters—and knowledge from the other side of the Great Flood. Enki means “Lord of the Earth,” and just a few of his teachings are: Lies, murder, deception, greed, lust…. and the list goes on. Enki is the antithesis of what Noah would teach. And Enki (an image of Satan) is the underworld guide for Utu and Inanna.

Above is an image of the two Twin Peaks of Ararat as seem to be both described and drawn in Sumerian and Akkadian records redundantly as the place the first “sun god” (Utu/Shamash) came from. Accordingly, it is at the base of Ararat, the ancient settlements predating the Kingdom of Urartu, where we find some of the oldest artifacts on earth. In the same area where Noah’s Ark is said to have landed, the oldest wineries in the world have been found.

Above are a set of leather shoes currently believed as the oldest ever found to date. Similarly, the Areni Cave pictured above is the oldest winery ever found. It is at the base of Ararat.

In Genesis 9 it reads:

^“20Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard. ²¹When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. ²²Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told his two brothers outside. ²³But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father’s naked body. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father naked. ²⁴When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, ²⁵he said,”

What Is the Meaning of The Vav?

In Genesis 1:26-31 it states:

²⁶Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

²⁷So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

²⁸God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

²⁹Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. ³⁰And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

³¹God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

The Vav is commonly said to be the connecting piece between “heaven and earth.” In the first sentence of Genesis, the letter “Vav” literally begins the word we translate as “and” which is between the words: “heaven and earth.” Not only this, but that “and (ו)” is the sixth (6) word in Genesis.

The Hebrew Alphabet is given beneath in both its ancient and modern form. Hebrew reads from right to left. So the first letter, the Alef (א), is in the top right for both the ancient and modern form.

The Vav represents a tent peg, hook, or nail.

The letter Vav is the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet and it looks like this: ו The Vav (ו) joins the heavens and the earth together, suggesting the connection between spiritual and earthly matters. Further, the letter Vav (ו) represents a tent peg, hook, spear, or nail. The Vav (ו) is used to depict the hooks that held the curtains of the Tabernacle together. The Tabernacle was the habitation of God in the wilderness and the Torah is the habitation of His Word. So a Torah scroll is patterned after the Tabernacle. The Vav (ו) starts each column of the text in a Torah scroll, thereby hooking the text to the parchment or scroll.

There were three nails on the Cross of Jesus.

Jesus was crucified on Nisan 14th, the same day as the First Passover in Egypt with the death of the firstborn sons. He was crucified in the center of two thieves. Each nail is a Vav, or number Six. There were three crosses. On Jesus’ cross, there were three nails . . . three Vavs.

It was not the nails that held Him to the cross, it was His love for you and me.

In this article we are going to address the linage of Ham, Cush and Nimrod on the Sumerian Kings List.

Sumerian Kings List Three Opening Sections Summary

For simplest understanding I have divided up the first three major sections of the Sumerian Kings List into these three parts:

1) Preflood (lines 1-39 of the list)

This section covers eight (8) antediluvian kings that reigned for a total, according to their Sumerian numeric system, of: 241,200 years. This section is often compared to the ten (10) generations from Adam to Noah as it does have both similarities and differences.

2) Expansion of families and tribes directly following flood (lines 40-94)

This section is generally thought to be a dynasty or consecutive list of kingships. However, it appears more like (or similar to) what is found in Genesis 10, a listing of families and tribes, sons and grandsons, founding what would later make up the beginning small brick built cities later called: Sumer and Akkad.

3) The Empire Rises (lines 95-133)

This section we see a consolidation of the power of princes and tribes and kings. We see the rise of the Temple on Inanna (E-ana), the diminishment of the city of Kish (Cush), and the naming titles change to Lord (En) and King (Lugal) in the direct linage of the “sun god” Utu (likely Ham the Biblical father of Cush).
So, just as Genesis 10:8-12 it reads; “Cush was the father of Nimrod, who became a mighty warrior on the earth. ⁹He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; that is why it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the Lord.” ¹⁰The first centers of his kingdom were Babylon, Uruk, Akkad and Kalneh, in Shinar. ¹¹From that land he went to Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah ¹²and Resen, which is between Nineveh and Calah—which is the great city.
The same rise and consolidation of power over the tribes, princes and tongues witnessed in both Genesis 10 and 11 appears nearly identical to lines 95-133 of the Sumerian Kings List.

Lets begin with section two (2) of the Sumerian Kings List; the time directly following the Flood of Noah.

Biblical Bloodlines of Genesis: Made Simple

On line 39-40 of the Sumerian Kings List (basically the start of section two of the list) it says:

line 39 Then the flood swept over.

Beginning Section Two

line 40 After the flood had swept over, and the kingship had descended from heaven, the kingship was in Kic (Cush).

As we see above at the start of section two of the Sumerian Kings List it is directly telling us, and labelling section two, as the time period right after the Global Flood.

Accordingly, the list is giving special attention (at both the beginning and end of section two) to the city and area of Kic/Kish/Cush (likely named after Ham’s son Cush).

In the map beneath we see the opening of the new world following the flood. Take note that the earliest brick-built cities formed along the the fertile land directly below where, in both Genesis and the Epic of Gilgamesh, Noah’s ark is said to have landed.

Also, these small, newly forming cities, tribes, tongues and warlords thereof, are the exact lands that would later be called Sumer and Akkad, then Assyria, which would become Babylon.

So, in section two of the Sumerian Kings List (provided in its entirety at the bottom of this page for reference), we see literally this expansion of brick-built cities, warlords and kings as on the map above.

Section two of the Sumerian Kings List appears to be describing the same expansion of families (becoming city-states) as what we read in Genesis 10, commonly called “the Table of Nations.”

However, the Sumerian Kings List is following the sons of Ham; specifically the linage leading through Nimrod to ancient Assyria. Below is a basic outline of those opening sons of Noah and their families, through the linage of Ham, as given in Genesis 10.

The Sumerian Kings List, similar to Genesis, records extremely long life-spans before the flood, and also pretty long life-spans after the flood (by comparison with our life-spans today).

Sumerian Sexagesimal System

It is commonly believed and accepted that the list is using the sexagesimal number system. This means they were using a base of 60 or sexagenary. It is a numeral system with sixty as its base, like later Babylon.

This sexagesimal system, as seen above, makes it particularly difficult for us to understand precisely what they are saying when they give common life-span amounts of years, like: “Dumuzid the shepherd (the same name of Inanna‘s later consort), ruled for 36,000 years.”

Never-the-less, it is clear from the collections of their texts that they are expressing a literal belief that there were incredibly long life-spans before the flood, and also extraordinarily long life-spans for a time after the flood.

First Section of Sumerian King’s List

Sumerian Kings List

The first section of the Sumerian King’s List says:

1 When the kingship was lowered from heaven
the kingship was in Eridu(g).

Trey Smith Notes: The Sumerians reference the name Eridu in the opening line of the King’s List. This would be the later name of the area (city) where the Tower of Babel would take its rise. It is the patron city of the claimed god Enki.

Enki ( Sumerian: ??? D EN-KI). The ? ( en) meaning “lord” and ? ( ki) meaning “earth, ground” (it also may be originally from ? ( kur) meaning “underworld”). Enki, called Ea by the Akkadians, Assyrians and Babylonians, was the Sumerian god of the abyss, water (a connection with the flood) and wisdom, and the keeper of the Me (Mes), the secret knowledge of the underworld gods.

Similiarly the word Babel, from which we later get Babylon, is from the Sumerian phrase Bab-ilim, gate of the god.:

So, it would seem reasonable that the Sumerians named the area of their great tower after the place they believed the gods put Adam (possibly A-lulim in Sumerian) as the first man.

The geneology of Genesis from Adam to Noah covers ten (10) generations of the antediluvian patriarchs.

Conversely, the geneology on the Sumerian Kings List, although possibly starting with a variation of the name Adam (A-lulim), goes on to present a geneology which has ties to their occult religious practises.

For example, beginning the third name down on the Sumerian Kings List is: En-men-lu-Anna(k)

En means lord in Sumerian. And Annak appears to have connection to the Sons of Anak in Numbers 13: 33 “And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.”

Accordingly, in Jasher 12:52 we read of Nimrod’s head conjuror: “And a wise servant of king Nimrod, whose name was Anuki, answered the king, saying, This is nothing else but the evil of Abram and his seed which will spring up against my Lord and king in the latter days.”

In the Sumerian, Akkadian and Babylonian texts the word Anunnaki is used hundreds, if not thousands of times. These are a set of angelic-like deities. They are presented very similar to the fallen angels described in the Book of Enoch. Further, it appears rituals, including outfits with animal heads and birds wings, were done to call in (or be posessed by) the Anunnaki Lords.

Apkallu Conjourers

In the ancient text of Enki and the World Order, the Anunnaki “do homage” to Enki, sing hymns of praise in his honor, and “take up their dwellings” among the people of Sumer. The same composition twice states that the Anunnaki “decree the fates of mankind”.

Has it been found?

Tower of Babel: This article on the Tower of Babel is a continuation of the Sumerian Kings List article series. The previous article was Sumerian Kings List: Nimrod.

The Tower of Babel

The ruins of the Ziggurat of Eridu (seen below) are larger and older than any others ever discovered within the fertile crescent, or the cradle of civilization.
The Ziggurat of Eridu is located in roughly the same area as the description given in Genesis.
The Tower of Eridu was destroyed, or fell, or never completed for whatever cause.
Eridu is the location of the claimed god Enki, god of “Abzu”.
In the Sumerian text of Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta the Ziggurat of Eridu is where the “speech of mankind” was meant to become one.
In cuniform Eridu can be shown as “NUN.KI” meaning the “Mighty Place”.
Berosus (c. 200 BC) in his Greek version of the Sumerian Kings List uses the word “Babylon” in place of the word “Eridu”.

The above image shows the ruins of ancient Eridu. In the ancient world, Eridu was recorded as a city with a port situated on a mesmerizing freshwater bay.

The coastline of the Persian Gulf is far more south today then during the times of Genesis following the flood, or the Sumerians during the Ubaid period. In other words, the beautiful waterfont of the Persian Gulf has been receding over the ages and Eridu is now in the desert.

Eridu: Ubaid Period

It is a commonly agreed in modern archaeology that civilization began in ancient Mesopotamia with the great the civilization of Sumer (modern-day Iraq). However, at the beginning of the 20th century, archaeologists excavating at Tell Al’Ubaid in Iraq made an unusual discovery when they unearthed artifacts which appear to represent humanoid figures with reptilian features. The term “Ubaid Period” is simply a name coined during a conference in Baghdad in 1930. You could view the Ubaid period as the time just before and during the building of the Tower of Babel. The city of Eridu (and ziggurate thereof) where part of the heart and epicenter of the Ubaid period.

It is unknown exactly why the areas of Eridu and Uruk in the land of what would be Biblically known as “Shinar” would have reptilian figurines or strange eye-idols? But, it does tend to make one think of the Serpent (Nachash) from Genesis 3. Whatever-the-case, these are the exact areas we read in Genesis where Nimrod built his tower. And, these are the same places these strange objects are found.

Eridu: The Ruins of the Ancient Tower

The remains of Eridu seen above have been built and rebuilt upon many, many times. The mound you see in the image is Whilst many believe these events as myth covered in the opening pages of Genesis; the physical evidence of them upon examination is quite overwhelming. Secrets of Sumerian Stones draws from a number of artifacts from both ancient Sumer and Akkad. Above are portions of the Sumerian Epic Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta. A full translation of the text of Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta is available here. Sumer is the earliest known civilization in the world. Many claim that the Sumerians just came out of nowhere. This culture is in the same area where Noah’s ark landed. And, Noah’s ark is said to have landed in the Kingdom of Ararat also called the Urartu mountains. The area on the map above where you see Eridu and Ur is called Sumer, where we get the word Sumerian. This is also the area of the Tower of Babel. The area where you see Noah’s ark is the mountains of Ararat, presumably where “Lord Aratta” lived. Interestingly, we find the Ararat mountains (seen beneath) is likely the area Gilgamesh travelled to meet Utnapishtim (Noah in the Epic of Gilgamesh). We also see “Utu/Shamash” seals where Utu is cutting his way from between two mountain peaks. In Sumerian, Utu was recognized as the “sun-god”. The first sun-god of all earth. However, Utu was also an actual person. In fact, Utu is told to us to be the grandfather of Enmerkar (Nimrod) by the Sumerians. Therefore it does not take much thought to realize Utu is likely the Sumerian name for Noah’s son Ham. If we take that assumption, then we are looking at some of the earliest impressions of Noah’s son Ham cutting his way into the new world having begun between the two mountain peaks; the same place Gilgamesh travelled to visit Noah (Utnapishtim). Utu, or in Akkadian “Shamash”, demanded his children and grandchildren worship him as the tribal king, war lord, and eventually the sun-god. The sons of Ham were: Canaan, Put, Egypt and Cush. It is through Cush that you get Nimrod and the Tower of Babel.

Signs: A Summary of the Intro

Signs Intro Summary: This page is a writen version of the concept of the intro to the film Signs by Trey Smith and God in a Nutshell.

We begin with the Exodus account. The book of Exodus is a story—an historical account—of oppression and deliverance. Literally, it is the story of the waters parting.

Moreover, the Exodus is a story of a dark, oppressive system intended to keep men as slaves. When the Israelites stood on the edge of the Red Sea, all hope looked lost. Even Moses was not getting an immediate answer from God. It was the silence before the storm; little did the Israelites nor pharaoh understand in those moments before chaos it could be no other way. Following moments of tense silence, God told Moses, “go to the edge of the water and raise your staff…..” Before we make it to the Priestly Ephod for the Levitical Priesthood—beginning with Aaron, we start in the wilderness. And in the wilderness, following the Exodus from Egypt, we find that the shape of the Israelite camp was the shape of a cross.

Prior to the Exodus, there were ten (10) plagues. Ten is Hebrew is the letter Yod (י) with a numeric value of 10. It is a number of completion, also representing God Himself. There were ten commandments given to Moses by God on tablets of stone at the top of Mount Sinai.

However, the story of the Exodus begins with Moses and Aaron entering pharaoh’s dark inner lair. Aaron’s staff would turn into a serpent. However, the pharaoh was unimpressed, as his magicians—by their dark arts—could do the same. Each plague represented a god of Egypt. So, in the course of the Exodus all the major gods will have been challenged, ending with the first born son of the pharaoh himself. Yet, what the pharaoh missed was that this was, from the very beginning, a message to the serpent ~ the Nachash.

Staff becoming Serpent on Tomb of the Pharaoh of the Exodus

The Last Plague of Egypt would be the loss of the first born sons of the Egyptians. The word pharaoh means “god-king.” So, the first born son of the pharaoh would be the next god-king of all Egypt. Therefore, from pharaoh’s view, the last plague literally represented the death of his personal “son of god.” This would occur on Nisan 14th ~ the same exact day roughly 1500 years later that Jesus would be crucified on the cross. This was the first Passover. On the first Passover the Israelites were told to put the “blood of a lamb” on there doorposts. And, if the angel of death saw the blood on the door post he would “pass-over” them. This would be the final plague of Egypt.

Passover for Israel: Nisan 14

The Israelites would then take a three (3) day journey to the Red Sea. Now, from the very beginning of the Exodus account, Moses was telling pharaoh that they needed to take a three (3) day journey; then there would be a large sacrifice. Pharaoh had no idea, until he stood before waters parted on each side that he and his army were the sacrifice.

The Egyptian army chased the Hebrews and caught up them at the Red Sea, knowing they were hemmed in by the water and the wilderness. To get to the crossing spot on the Red Sea, one must go through a canyon with high walls on both sides. The canyon is many, many miles long. Today, that same canyon has a road which is the way in or out. None-the-less, the Egyptian army caught up with the Israelites three days after Passover. They caught up with them on Nisan 17th. This would precisely three (3) days following the First Passover. The same day Jesus, the true Son of God, came out of the Tomb.

Nisan 17th is the day we are told Noah’s ark first hit ground, the day the Red Sea parted, and the day Jesus came out of the Tomb. It is the day Moses told the Hebrews, “the Egyptian army you see now, you shall never see again….” Now, if we return to our Ephod of the High Priest, beginning with Aaron…

Priestly Ephod and King of Tyre ~ Ezekiel 28

We can see above that the Ephod in gold has twelve precious stones: And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row. And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond. And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst. And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings. And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes. (Exodus 28:17-21, KJV) Each stone represents a tribe of Israel. In Ezekiel 28 we read of a cherub that was in the Garden of Eden having nine (9) precious stones as a covering. It is commonly taught that Ezekiel is speaking to the spirit behind the King of Tyre, the old serpent, the Nachash….

Letter Tet

The ninth (9) letter in Hebrew is the letter Tet. And, there were nine precious stones listed above “covering” our Nachash. The Tet, or ninth letter in the Hebrew alphabet, does sort of look like a snake particularly in its crowned (tagin) form. Whatever the case, there are nine precious stones for a covering for this fallen cherub. Perhaps one could say that a new order would replace the old order, destroying the serpent’s order. Tet generally is believed to represent an empty basket. It could have a pile of gold inside. Or, it could have a poisonous snake inside. Similarly, the Tet is commonly thought to represent a womb. A pregnancy is nine months. So, this is symbol of the unknown basket that longs to birth something. The Tet is the least used letter in the Hebrew alphabet; the first place it appears is in Genesis 1:4

⁴God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

A little deeper, the Tet is connected to “separating light from darkness” in its very first usage in the Bible. However, if we look one passage above to Genesis 1:3 we see the Light of God; “And God said Let there be Light.” This is the same “light” which would be traded for “garments of skins” in Genesis 3:21. The word “Light” in Hebrew is identical to the word “Skin” except that “skin” now begins with the “Ayin,” or in this case the “Ayin-Ra.” The Ayin, or number seventy (70) in Hebrew, can be either “light” or “dark.” In the above image (far right), the word “Light” begins with the Alef (we read from right to left in Hebrew). The Alef represents God Himself, moving through the man (the “Vav”), and into the mind of the man (the Resh). However, (image to the left above) when we look at the word “skins,” the Alef is replaced with an “Ayin.” And, the Ayin can be either light or dark. Accordingly, on the far left of the image above I have put the modern Resh in red (far left). Notice the modern Resh is missing the face of the man. It is a mindless man, representing wickedness. It is a picture of how man ran from the Light of God, and his covering would be his own mindless “skins.” Yet, speaking of garments, it is in Jasher 7 that we read that the linage of Ham stole a special set of garments that belonged to Noah; the very same garments that had been given to Adam and Eve by God Himself. This passage, seeming to align also with Book of Genesis 9:20-27, indicates Nimrod felt a strength—or power—when putting on these stolen garments. It gave him authority, like a police officer might feel a certain sense of authority putting on his uniform. In fact, Joseph had a coat of many colors. And, this coat made him feel special and prideful above his brothers. It was not until Joseph was humbled, having no special garments, only lots of time in a cage to get to know God, that God could begin His powerful work in the once arrogant Joseph. Joseph would then be lifted to the ranks of kingship, but only after he understood humility. The picture of Nimrod is the picture of the serpents systems. It is a picture of pride, arrogance, greed, lust, murder, theft, lies… and the list goes on…. It is the inverse of the higher order of God Himself. It is a set of systems literally upside-down. It is the reverse of every single one of the Ten Commandments.
